I'll always prefer the original, but this is different enough that I think it's almost as enjoyable in a very different way. The bass doesn't pound into your veins and you don't wanna stomp to it, but it makes me wanna do a little jig around the room. While smoking a pipe 8D

My band does a cover of Take Me Out where the guitar, bass, and drum parts are very similar to the Franz Ferdinand original, but every singer that has performed it with us always seems to naturally put a bluesy, 'lounge' type spin on it, so we dropped the tempo a bit and went with it and now our cover falls somewhere in between the two extremes. I like the Scissor Sisters take on it- it feels like they allowed the song to go where IT seems to want to go and did a nice job at it.
