This vid is from 2009. That's 3 years ago. At least now in 2012 it is. lol Tracfone doesn't charge you when the phone is ringing now. They charge you 1/3 of a minute to read a text, unless it's really long and then it's 2/3 of a minute or if you receive a picture,then it's more (not sure how much more). Every card you buy, they add 90 days of service. My phone is up to 2015 before that happens!!! And I just bought a new phone that TRIPLES every minute I buy.

Don't believe me? next time you call tech support ask where they are at.

I think you should quit calling people and hanging up without giving them a chance to answer, that is just plain rude. Either way, I bet you would quit burning up your minutes if you quit playing with your phone.
I love my straight talk from tracphone it is the best I had to pay verizon wireless $269.99 cause I went over my 700 minutes so I decided to get rid of the contract charged me $300 for the cancellation so I bought a prepaid phone for $75.99 and a $45 card unlimited internet unlimited messages and unlimited minutes I just loooooooove my straight talk phone and I will NEVER get a contract as long as I live.
This company is shady notice how they don't tell you upfront how much they charge per minute most prepaid cell phone providers tell you what they charge they don't.
The person is showing that no matter what button they push the call cannot be ended. If I had to completely turn the phone off just to get the phone to cancel the call, I would throw the phone as far as I could. Tracfone :SUCKS"
i believe i have worse with tracfone than everybody. I have had tracfone for 3 years now and this will be my last year with what tracfone just did. My old phone LG600G i accidentally dropped and the front outside screen cracked. On this phone i had 417.3 minutes and 286 service days. I bought a LG420G and transfered the minutes, days and my number. 2 Days after switching phones it stops working. And tracfone says the sim card isnt compatible. They sent a new one for free.
@acebbelt I put the new sim card in the LG420G and I still had all of the minutes and the service days but i lost my phone number which i have changed from different tracfones before. I called tracfone and activated the sim card and after i activated it i had no number all 417.3 minutes and 30 SERVICE DAYS. After 3 hours talking with 7 different service agents and supervisors I now have a new phone number all of my minutes and 91 service days. tracfone will not be hearing good feedback from me.
lol this video fails but i did notice that the web browser on my phone will randomly come online and waste like 30 minutes very fast! im using at&t now.
Im going to have to add something about mine (LG220c), against what others say about how you only get deducted mins when someone picks up... mine deducts 1m every time i dial... doesn't matter if the call goes through or if its an invalid #.... their whole setup is for them to make maximum profits.

But because it was inactive, they said I need a new SIM card and my 500 minutes are GONE. I was going to spend the day calling Eastern Europe but now I need to buy a new phone that won't rip me off. hmmm.. I think it's in the terms that you need to keep ur service active otherwise you will lose your number so that includes your minutes too. The purpose you were sent with a sim card was for your phone to be assigned with a new number since your old sim card still has your old phone number associated to it.

Once you are connected to the other line the seconds count this means that is the start of your mins. deductions.
Why should you be deducted mins. when the person on the other line picks up?. common sense. in order for you to connect it should ring first and that is the time deduction should takes place. once connected to the line. be reasonable guys. don't be stupid.
my tracfone (Motorola c139) doesnt take off any minutes unless the person you are calling picks up. so u can hear a dial tone for 5 hours and if the person doesnt pick up no minutes are taken off. But, i dont think its just my tracfone. I think its all.

My tracfone says it charges 1 unit to download a multimedia message while it actually charges me 1.5 units. I've complained and they had me punch in a giant series of numbers but I'm still having this problem. I will very likely go through a different company after my minutes are gone. Suggestions?
well....tracfone is right, unfortunatly. It cost a minute to get the pic/music, plus a .5 "internet access dpwnload fee" Its a bunch of bul shit those crazy ragheads the work there made up. Switch to someone else. It'll be a lot easier than dealing with Ghandi on an everyday basis
This is why they make good emergency backup phones. Don't use it constantly, and you won't have to worry about running out of minutes. If you talk all the time, then a contract will be cheaper.

Yes, I noticed my TracFone was counting for ringing time; they at least let you port your number now when you lose / destroy a phone & buy another. But how about THESE things: W37g Motorola, big blue tooth model w/ double minutes uploads picture emails extemely slowly, charging one minute per 30 sec. of data usage, even on VGA quality shots; W37g manual at least explains also that you get NO discount on data AT ALL for buying big airtime cards 'cause they charge more per minute for big cards!!
