The animations are cooler, but for most of them you don't take there tags. DICE wanted it to be more realistic so you actually took there tags in the animation instead of just basically receiving them. Not only that, but the time it takes for the knife to actually hit is a lot longer then in a final game, so the new animations help balance it out more.

@denicrapi1 you cant compare these 2 gameplays.. cod gameplay is completely fast paced, cause it has those complete mini maps.. i mean a bf2 headbase is as big as a cod map. bf2 has more realistic gameplays, but still not boring in just running around like arma 2. in my opinion bf3 is the better game, in a hell lot more many things than cod.. to be honest i would better like to pay for bf2, than getting 50% off at mw3...

Glad that knifing someone take two hits to kill outside of the cinematic approach and also that when you go through the cinematic approach that anyone can kill you and save their teammate. It is AMAZING that it can be countered whether it be one or two stabs.

It is possible to block knife attacks by turning holding the knife button iv been lucky enough to hear about half the times but I don't always block in time and end up like the first guy! And the're Good on console but the timing has to be perfect.
