  • The Borgias is produced by Americans for an American channel, with an Irish creator and English actors and it is proudly considered American because of Showtime.

If a movie is made by a Mexican director, written by a Mexican, produced in part by Mexicans and promoted and distributed by Mexicans but acted by Spaniards then it is apparently an insult to call it Mexican. Huh.

  • Faun was beautiful~

  • in Percy JAckson.. I pictured him to be more handsome ._.

  • Nice spanish actors and the mexican director is brilliant!

  • Was anyone else creeped out when they first saw the Faun

  • Satyr is Greek of goat/man and faun is same thing but in roman form. Some are good but some are devilish. That creature is probably pan, the god of the wild.

  • Am I the only one who thinks he is totally badass? To be completely honest, I want him to be my best friend.

  • Honestly, I woulda pulled out a shotgun and shot the shit outta that thing if I ever saw it

  • The faun scares the shit out of me lol

  • At 0:15, he says "Sois vos!" This is the familiar, plural form of saying "It's you!" as said in Castillian (Spain Spanish). It's plural because he sees Ofelia as royalty (a princess), who in turn refer to themselves in the plural. This is done in English when a member of the royalty calls him or herself "we". Also, I don't get the confusion over a Mexican-made movie about Spaniards. The Harry Potter movies take place in England w/ British actors, but are directed and financed by Americans.

  • @davintheraven actually this was an mexican-spanish movie (spanish actors, mexican director, producers from both countries and mexican distribution), "vos" is not a plural, the plural is "vosotros", english uses "you" for both words :)

  • His name isn't pan! Pan Is like a Greek god or something! They should have kept the name of this movie in Spanish (el labrinto del fuano)... I mean the movie is in Spanish -_-

Besides he said that he has had many names, some of which only the trees and wind can pronounce...

  • @akioyosh Pan would be the God of fauns and nature. -____- He was personified as actually being a faun. So . . . yeah.

  • Wth is "the pan"

Pan is a greek god and i kinda read the Wiki for the movie and it said the Satyr like Creature isnt Pan (I was suprised too) They call it a "Faun"

I really want to know who the Faun is :3

  • @TomTheAllyCat1 the faun is the creature

  • who cares if the director is mexican or anything this movie is awesome

  • It was made by a Mexican man

  • Ok to be honest if I saw that thing the only thing I could do is scream and throw things at it.

  • I don't think people are arguing about the the same thing is these conversations, The film my have been directed and filmed by Mexicans. But from what I remember the "th" in some of the pronunciation in some words is used more in Spain than in Mexico. So the actors are from Spain, not Mexico, so the argument is on speech, not who produced the film?

  • Mi Alteza ;_;

  • Pan: Greek God of wilderness and nature, Lord of all fauns and satyrs, flutes too :D

  • i love how the faun pronounces faun like FOWN! i know its spanish but it just sounds like a bad english pronounciation, awesome movie though, Guillermo del Toro should have done the hobbit

  • El Fauno = the best movie creature in history. Every scene he's in is creepy beyond belief. Del Toro basically proved that practical effects put computer generated effects to shame when done right.

  • that girl is very brave

  • if only it were an illustrated book

  • When I first saw this movie, Pan scared the crap out of me! But now I absolutely love him. he just looks like the kind of person/thing that you wanna just hug...I know I wanna hug him! :)

  • Pan is not satanic. Pan is the god of nature (and a satyr) and pan is one of the many gods I worship/respect/live for. So watch you guys say about him

  • it's a pirated copy....eewww....tsk tsk

  • a creepy satanic goat man living in a maze and you don't run away!? this girl is crazy!!!

I love this movie so much, makes a nice fairytale too!

  • Me encanta esta película tanto. El final es tan encantador ...

lol. i dont even speak spanish. teehee.

  • As soon as I saw the Faun, I immediately liked that thing.

Since del Toro designed that, he's a genius for doing so.

  • Ok, you're gonna hate me for saying this,

bu when I saw Pan and the way he moved his hands when he spoke, the FIRST thing that came to my mind was "ROBERT PLANT!"

Sorry, I couldn't help it xD

Don't get me wrong, I'm not making fun of Pan, or the movie, in fact I think it truly is a masterpiece :)

  • It's not a Mexican movie douchebag. It's filmed in Spain. Must every spanish speaking movie be Mexican to you? You know there's other people that speak spanish besides Mexicans right? Like Spaniards.

  • @darko84hc Guillermo Del Toro, the director, is Mexican.

  • @darko84hc

it's Mexican fool. entirely made and financed by Mexican companies. just because it's set in Spain doesn't make it a Spanish movie.

  • @darko84hc Actually, it was directed by a Mexican (Guillermo del Toro) and produced/distributed by a Mexican film company (Esperanto Films)...so it is actually a Mexican film. It was just filmed and takes place in Spain.

    you mad?

  • @pulchramsartago I sure am, Mexico sucks :(

  • @darko84hc your right! its not a mexican movie, but the director its mexican! besides him, everyone its spaniard! (except from the faun, cuz he is an american actor)

  • @darko84hc actually its a mexican film. mexican director, mexican film maker.

  • @mangodealer Mexican Director yes, Mexican Filmmaker yes, Mexican film, I don't think so, it's a Spanish Film.

  • @darko84hc it was made by a Mexican director. It just took place in Spain.

  • @darko84hc

Hey, there's nothing wrong being Mexican....

  • @darko84hc and mexicans!

  • @darko84hc It is actually a movie with Mexican production and categorized in Mexican Cinema... It's a Mexican movie...

  • I think I would freak out a little if that thing showed up...

Don't get me wrong, he's my favorite character, but appearing so freaking suddenly in a dark creepy maze like that, I'd be scared out of my mind. LOL

  • Comment removed

  • if that faun thing appeared like that my first reaction would be to try and kill it.

  • is thias movie in english?

  • hey, can you read? because it's obvious to me you cannot spell. good luck with that.

  • of course, and that is why the subs show exactly the words that are spoken -.-

it´s a mexican movie, the language is spanisch, although it has a rough aczent.

but there are dubs in english, german french etc...

  • they all speak with a Spaniard accent

  • my, my, what´s with all those thumbs-down? i´m getting depressed here *yawn*

  • @gaealeo It's in spanish.

  • LOL when pan woke up it saounded like he said scoos balls?lol but the movie still is amazing

  • @3macboyz creo que el usa la forma "vos" con Ofelia.
