@noaiiz usually the boards meant for going downhill don't flex much/at all. The ones that do flex are used mainly for carving but ive been down a hill pretty fast on a flexy longboard.

Baltic Birch, start with 5/8" thickness

BALTIC birch, that's important.

A flat 'plank' board made of baltic is pretty much indestructible.

a sheet of baltic will probably be ~$35. but you'll be able to make 5 or 6 boards from it.

Depending on where you get it, you may be able to buy only what you need.

to put on clear grip over wornout grip, sand the old grip down with fine sander and take It might be gorrila or elmers glue and put it on and sponge it so it has texture. There. Just made that up.
