I'm glad that I haven't come out yet...not even to my parents because in an Asian household, this isn't accepted. I'm still wondering what's the next step to take... :/
I am a transgendered mtf like you. The only thing you would like about using the men's locker room in school since u could not use the girls is seeing hot men half naked! :D
Ah... highschool. I've been pretty lucky because even though I've been bullied like my entire middleschool and before that, but during my last grades most people were really accepting when I came out as gay. Though I never found the courage then to explain them that I was a self-identified female. The weird part is that I used to wear make-up at school. In the beginning everybody was like «what the f*ck» and laughed, and then it's as if most people graduately became used to that.
Heyy! I'm mtf aswell but haven't really taken any steps towards transitioning yet.....I'm growing my hair long though.
Anyway. To get to the point, how did you come out to everyone at school? I've told all of my close friends and family but I haven't told the student body, how did you go about doing this or did you just turn up to school cross dressing?
Also, how did/do you deal with more distant family like cousins, grandparents etc ? X
ahhhh highschool sucks as far as transition goes =[, there was a girl who was always picking on me and putting me down for just trying to be me. this is my last year of highschool and i'm spending it being homeschooled because i'm so sick of the ignorance and intolerance in my highschool. thanks for your videos! i have the intention of sending you a message.
@RedGreyV Hey! (: thank you so much for writing. your one of my first ones. (: and as far as high school goes, there's a lot of ignorant people out there that wouldn't know how to handle it. You either have to go to a really good school or homeschooling, it sucks that it has to be that way. I really do have better hopes for the future that things will change. Public schools are the worst and I really admire any other person who is going through it without letting all the prejudice get to them.
@AGirlLikeMe916 yay! that makes me feel special =D. i agree, and times are changing, i mean 10 years ago it was probably a lot worse than today, which makes me feel like we can only continue moving up instead of regressing.
@RedGreyV frek like was hard enuff to go through school being so called normal, cant imagine what it must of been like for you, but like im 35 now and you no that your school years wont even reigster on your life its just so the begining, like not even the begining its before the begining hahaha, it all gets much better!!
@1kicka1 thanks! i feel like highschool students in general get really caught up in drama, finding out who and what they can tolerate and accept. so i truly believe what you said, after kids become adults and have the opportunity to grow up and be exposed to more differences, that's when the living really begins =P
