I'm thinking of getting this game, Is it like where you start with a fighter/bomber and work your way up to frigates, destroyers, and capital ships? or when you get a certain ship can you just put bombers on it :P

@Shuttheheckup735 No... not at all, bombers are an advanced frigate that you use to sneak up to people and ruin thier day.

The ship ranks go something like this:

Frigate, Destroyer, Cruiser, Battlecruiser, Battleship, Dreadnougt, Carrier, Supercarrier, Titan. (ascending order)

In between there are special classes of each as well, like assault ships, marauders and interdictors.

On top of that no ship makes all others completely obsolete, there will always be a place for frigs in a fight.

However each bomb an explosion radius of 15km and vapourise anything cruiser size or smaller that was stupid enough to stand around long enough to see what happened.

That sounds bull because in space there is simply no air and not enough of any gas or dust floating in space to carry a powerful shock wave, In space, You could easily survive the biggest nuclear explosion ever detonating only 400 metres away in space... of course, You'd feel it like you'd feel a strong gust of wind, and be knocked a few kilometres away, but other then that, nothing.

Could be a massive frag grenade throwing massive peices of shrapnel everywhere...

Little bits of shrapnel flying at a constant high velocity in space, then it becomes a problem :)

Physics and eve don't mix, you can warp through planets at over the speed of light then stop the ship in a matter of seconds without putting in an opposing force. Because of this, some have speculated that eve is actually set in an underwater world with submarines.

@Alexc3217 warp doesnt involve moving your ship though... so thats the reason why you dont need an opposing force... it invovles moving the space around your ship.

Also there are the shps that travel at 1406 meters per second and stop surprisingly quickly.

@Alexc3217 Well any ship can kill stuff. That doesn't mean it's a decent pvp ship. I could be wrong, but it seems to me the rokh is only good in pvp when accompanied by several others, and at that point all it is is a giant dps+tank, which most battleships are.
