  • i have this game for PS2 and is fantastic! =)

  • Hey, what's the surf guitar song playing throughout most of the vid? Is it a well-known/pop/rock surf guitar song?

  • @HoneydewHuey That's "Surfin' on Thin Ice," a surf-rock version of the theme from the Intellivision game Thin Ice. The theme was written for the game in 1983 by George "The Fat Man" Sanger. A couple decades later, George recorded this version for our album "Intellivision in Hi-Fi," available on our web site. - Intellivision Productions, Inc.

  • @IntellivisionProd Wow, that's neat that he came back to record the new version after all those years. Thanks for the info!

  • WOW, I miss the 80's when it comes to classic games

  • I have this disc.

One of my favourites and I never grew up on Intellivision or Atari or Coleco. I was born in 1981, so by the time I was old enough to play games I started on the Commodore 64 and NES.

But I enjoy these retro games (well not the sport games, I even hate modern sports games except for Punch Out of course but that isn't realistic which is what I liked)

  • One of my favorite games i rented and bought for my ps2.

  • one of the most fun video games on ps2 i ever had!

  • I have 2 copies of it on my PS2. 1 I bought in 2004, and then when my workplace closed down they had a PS2 that they were going to trash till I came and saved it (I have 2 PS2's now, 1 Fat from launch 2000, still works and 1 slim (it's the first slims released) Both work. They just happen to have this game as well. I used to play it at work during my lunch break all the time.

I love this disc as much as I love Activision Anthology.

BTW it's no longer compatible with new PS3's

  • I have this disc still.

I still play it quite a bit.

I liked the MY Intellivision song. I want to download that song because I liked it so much, but I guess there is nowhere to download it.

  • Ahhhh what memories, I used to play Intellivision football with my brother and burn him all the time, used to make the quarterback and run backward and at the last minute throw a pass, the receiver used to be waiting for the ball

  • The really old games suck but nes to now rock but before Nes graphics were unbearable!

  • @rachet197

    the NES graphics suck

they werent even the best of it's time

    the SMS was way better

  • @Mazerati u suck nes is great gaming stupid

  • @Mazerati graphics dont make the game but i bet you to stupid to know about that

  • I can't see myself going back to play these games. I draw the line right after early 80s videogames, which still can be fun and challenging to play. But the home systems before the NES really had some bad graphics. They were good for the time, but really haven't held up. I do have an Atari 2600 compilation but I haven't even barely touched it. I also have a Sega Genesis compilation and don't play that much either.

  • cus when dat was released HD didnt exist

  • but its not HD

  • nice

  • awesome music, very retro

  • Hmm, it's not as fun without the controller and it's many overlays!

  • Right on! I bought this game because i used to have the intelvision but i sold it when i was growing up..... Anyways there is not enough buttons to play half the games and you don't know what button does what!

  • i was just playing this game the other night. I got it because i love old school games.

  • aww, no SNAFU

  • Not on the video, but it is in the collection. You can download the Xbox version on the Xbox Live Marketplace.

  • I used have an Intellivision back in the 80's, I really wish that this collection had some of the Activision games as well like river raid, beamrider and Pitfall!

  • I was old enough to play these games, but I didn't buy this system. I had Colecovision. My best friend at the time had the Atari 2600, so I never got that system either. While I can understand getting even the Atari compilation of games, these Intellivision games look more than awful. Was there really an audience for this for the PS2 or Xbox? The Namco, Midway, Capcom and Sega Genesis collections make sense, but not this Intellivision one.

  • I own Intellivision, Atari 2600 (VCS), Odyssey2, and Colecovision as early '80's game consoles and I LOVE the Intellivision. (Awesome sport games and awesome technology) Intellivision was ahead of its time . Sadly, I don't like the Colecovision.

  • yay! I have a PS2 :D

  • Mucha gente dice ; Honor a quien Honor merece, y esta consola, merece mas que una ovacion de pie, Sras. y Srs. EL INTELEVISION ES UN INMORTAL!!!

  • The only game in this collection I can think of that might benefit from vibration was Keith's "Space C*NT"

  • What about that Pac Man Rip Off Lock N Chase !! That was fun...

  • lol, yeah i just commented below. that i hurried up and bought it cause i used to play it and boy do these games suck, they mainly brought back memories. they are obviously very crappy by todays game standards, i played for like a hour and havent played it since. the memories were worth it for me

  • fattpieceofcrap,

People with user names like yours just cracks me up!

Most of the time, the memories is what it's all about with me too. I've been going mad collecting NES games online at Amazon, and buying them anywhere I can find them! I even orderd an Atari 2600 and an Odyssey 2...mainly for the memories. It sometimes feels like I'm wasting my money but I just love seeing my collection grow!

  • Do you know if it has zaxxon on it?

  • nope. i actually played it today, first time in a while. that was a pretty good game

  • Funny...as a (now adult) child of Intellivision, I went through all the games on this recently to see which ones held up. I will say that, for all its shortcomings graphically, "Armor Battle" is actually a real nail biter if you've got a worthy opponent. "Thunder Mountain" (is that the name?--it's "Thunder [Something]" is very innovative, and a newfound pleasure. In addition, the sports games are really good if you take time to learn the controls.

  • howelldrake, It's probably "Thunder Castle" that you're thinking of. I LOVE that game.

  • Never heard of Intellivision? That is insane! I admit the GC controllers are poor, but complaining about the graphics? Cmon, what did you expect from games 30 years ago???

  • You forgot to mention that the Gamecube version is compatible with the Nintendo Wii.

  • pretty sweet. i went right to ebay and bought this game, only $9. how can you go wrong

  • I payed $9.94 for it on Amazon!

  • amazon rocks ^^

  • I payed 4$ for it at a local game renting shop that was selling all its ps2 games...

  • I have this. It's awesome, night stalker is one of the best games in it.

  • yeeer out
