This cant be done in an escape hybrid. That shit is weak! My girlfriend has a 2010 hybrid and I tried driving it up ramps so I could do an oil change. I had the pedal to the floor and it wouldn't even get on to the ramps. Very sad. I had to get a rolling start. These were tiny ramps, only 8 inches tall and a couple feet long.

@rickdafrog I hae a 2001 XLS V6 4WD and Front wheel drive midnight blue Escape equipped with running boards, bugshield and all. It's one of the fancier models of 2001 and has more than that, but it's great on the ice, can take on some rough trails, but nothing TOO crazy like a Ford F250 Superduty couldn't even get through. It does great in pulling trailers, it has nice handling, smooth ride, great on gas, andoverall a choice car! I love it and it does look nice! :)

drive a jeep before you talk shit about it, a jeep will out offroad anything made today, they are built soley for that reason. Notice how the escape needs a running start, and the first time it rolled back down. A wrangler rubicon, for example, could go up that in first gear, come to a complete stop on the slope and continue back up and over it. I've been rock crawling for years and nothing matches the all around capability and durability of a Jeep.

Own and drive a Jeep before you talk shit about it. I've seen old XJ's (older box cherokee) pull Hummer H1's out of sand pits. There are 3 monsters in this world when it comes to offroading, Land Rover, Jeep and Toyota. Seeing as all 3 of these companies started because of the original Willy's Military Jeeps after the company switched hands. Do a bit of research and you'd be awfully surprised.

The original Land Cruisers were put in place to replace farming tractors in Japan and China. I wanna see your Ford Escape do that :) Likewise with the original Land Rovers (defenders and such) which also goes for the Jeep as it was the first and original. Bottom line is Jeeps are built with short wheelbases and tons of torque, mean ass combo when it comes down to real offroading, not your average hillbilly mud riding in his backyard.
