I haven't heard this song in about 25 yrs, but I've always kept it in my heart and thought about it often and its message. I'm glad I went looking for it today on youtube.
Thankyou so much for posting this. I've never seen them performing live but have been listening to them since I heard Barry McGuire introduce them on his To the Bride album. Their (as well as Annie solo albums) music has touched and encouraged me in my walk for 30 years. Did they ever come to Australia?
What an amazing group...I sure do miss them! Brings back lots of memories. I almost forgot how absolutely stunning and tight their vocals were! Thanks for posting.
I don't understand it, but every time I hear this song, or 'Which Way The Wind Blows' - my glasses get blurry. I miss them. I still remember hugging Annie in Santa Cruz in 1978 and experiencing the electricity of the Spirit - unspeakable energy, light and wonder was in the air that night.
Pam Mark Hall's song, 'When We All Come Together' comes to mind.
That's strange ic751a55, my glasses got blurry too when I listened to them singing 'Purify' this morning from their Hymns album. Mmmm, wonder what it could be?! :)
miss them... so talented.

Wow!...so good to see them "live." I have all their cds. Singer Sower and Night light are the ones that get the most play; even today.
The narrow way is not easy, yes, but it is the way of peace.
