  • 2:28 channel locks hitting the floor lol

  • @tlee858585 My tools are always dropping! And they always roll to the middle of the car;-)

  • my temp gage goes up and down i get heat when gage is normal and then when it rises it gives cold air is that my thermastat?

  • @longdeek My guess is the thermostat, or water pump. But if it's not overheating, it's probably not the water pump. I would start with the cheapest thing first. I couldn't get my heat to work either until I changed the thermostat and flush the radiator. I'm no mechanic but I would try that. Good luck.......

  • @jster1963 i have same symptoms as this guy but i hear rushing water coming from behing the dash or floor area when i rev it up if heater is off ??? any ideas?

  • @yz100f I had the EXACT same "water under the dash" sound! I was in Miami for the first 10 years I owned the blazer and never used the heat. When I moved and needed the heat, it didn't work. I took it into the shop to fix the heat and they flushed the radiator and heater core. That fixed the heat AND the water sound. Good luck......

  • Isn't there a drain plug beneath the rad?

  • @modelleg Yes, but I didn't need a lot of antifreeze out of the system. Just a few cups. It is so messy when you drain from the bottom when you don't need to drain the entire rad.....

  • nice vid i just change mine todady easy process. i just have to start using gloves damn

  • @supersanchez1991 Gloves sure make cleaning your hands so much quicker;-) I'm glad it helped, and thanks.........

  • Excellent Video thanks for the info, gonna go do mines.

  • @ezdadda Thank you and good luck with yours!

  • Thanks for the video, very helpful. Appreciate the time taken to video your replacement.

  • @MrCOXRE You're welcome, and thank you! I'm glad it helped......

  • very useful video, made the job very quick.

  • @bill91075 Thank you very much! I really am glad I was able to help someone.......

  • thanks a lot for showing where the thermostat is?

  • @1123sammy No worries! I hope it helped....

  • Hey I didn't even know where to start on mine, Thanks to you it was a easy job. Thanks for video

  • @MAITAISKY25 Thank you! I'm glad it helped.....

  • Thanks for the vid, Just did the wife's 97 Bravada which is the same setup.

I just had to undo the 2 10mm nuts holding the bracket that touches the metal inlet pipe and I had enough room to extract and replace the thermostat with little difficulty. You will likely need a 13mm deep well socket to get to the back bolt.

  • @Razmear You're rite, they are the same setup! I'm glad this helped. I think I did use a deep socket. And thank you for your comments........

  • Also for everyone out there my coolant was bubbling out of control in my resivour. Everyone online said it was the head hasket but it was definately the thermostat. Just know that a closed up thermostat can cause the problem of bubbling coolant and bad overheating.

  • Thanks for the video. I had to take the throttle body off to get to the thermostat but after that it was simple. The who job took only 10 minutes and thanks again for the help.

  • @Blazen1212 I tried my best not to take that throttle body off! That's why I had to be a gymnast moving around it;-) Thank you and I'm glad it helped.....

  • Thanks for the vid!!!

  • @mrsfields6 You're very welcome.....

  • thanks for making this vid. saved me a lot of hassle

  • @skyblack937 Your welcome! I'm glad it helped....

  • good video, buts its dangerous with no hood pin for the starter

  • @blazinloud Thank you. I take safety very seriously, but I don't know what a hood pin for the starter is. I'm just a do it yourself-er, but I will look into it. Thanks again.....

  • @jster1963 the hood pin is there so you cannot remote start it with the hood open. hate to have your arms down there then accidentaly push the button.

  • @blazinloud You are SO RITE!!! Excellent comment! From now on I will disconnect the battery when I'm under the hood. I don't know how to hook up a hood pin, but I know how to disconnect the battery. Also, I will make a comment so that others understand the hazzard of the remote start when working on their vehicles. Thanks again.......

  • @blazinloud PS. I posted the safty warning on the vid! Thanks again for the tip.....

  • YEA I HEAR YA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If it wasn't for you tube and other sites i would be broke from repairs of all angles cars, house, lawn mower you name it. If its broke i come here first.

  • love watching the new thermostat fly across the engine. Great video thank you for posting.

  • @webergrillz Yea, that little devil was slippery;-) And thank you very much, but I sure wish my stuff would stop breaking!!

  • awesome job.

  • @smrio Thank you very much!!
