Paul Keating said it all. What 1 economic structural reform, other than the GST (which was a relic from 1975), did Costello roll out in 11 years of office. NONE! Had they won the election against Rudd, the economic stimulus would not have been rolled out & cost 200,000 jobs because of the GFC. This is backed up by the country's top 50 economists in an open letter, as well as Reserve bank Governors past and present. Dont give me this shit Landeryou, hand over your policies for analysis NOW!!!!!
@AntipodeanStar top 50 economists? bullshit, economists have ALWAYS disagreed and always will. there are thousands of economists and apparently the 50 who agree with your views are the 'top'. both sides claim their views are backed up by the top economists.
oh and the 200,000 jobs is utter propaganda. prove that 200,000 people would have lost their jobs without the stimulus
to pi550. you sound like atypical liberal supporter. only thinking of yourself. i too have to kids but i'm always out there trying to help people especially kids that have nothing. So get your face out of liberals arse and see what is really happening.
this stupid scare campaign fails to recognise that in fact the stupid liberals cant run the economy. We have had 6 interest rate rises when costello said that we wouldent have any, this shows that the libs are in fact "inflating" the economy. You want to talk about managing the economy, lets talk about maintaining independace of the reserve bank and stop using our credit cards.
I don't own a credit card. I only buy what I can afford. I have never been paid overtime in my job as I am employed on a 7day week system and have been for 30 years. I am university trained and only want to pay for my own children...not the rest of australias.
I bought a house under Labor... 12% to 17% interest.Wait until Rudd solar powers EVERY schoolin OZ..how much do you think that will cost. Have you read his policies. How will he afford to rewire Every school in Australi for internet access. The current wiring won't take at many computers...why don't you become an electrician to install the connections.
your telling me that labour have had high interest rate rises, let me remind you that the highest interest rate rise was from john howard under malcom fraiser. 22 %!!!! John howard promosed to spend MORE MONEY then kevin Rudd!! Rudd is an economic conservitave!
how embarrasing for you. cut down by a 17 year old. people tend to underestimate my political knowledge because of my age. I hope to go into politics for a career. :)
@royce555 'people tend to underestimate my political knowledge'
probably because there's not that much to underestimate mate. all you did was repeat labor's claim that interest rates were at 22% under fraser. ever stop to ask yourself WHICH INTEREST RATES??? no, because you're so brainwashed you won't check the evidence unless it contradicts your point of view. just so you know - the 22% was the cash rate. the bank rate is what people are about because its WHAT THEIR HOME LOAN IS BASED ON
@royce555 "We have had 6 interest rate rises when costello said that we wouldent have any" no he didn't he said that they would be low. they were still low - even by labor standards.
" this shows that the libs are in fact "inflating" the economy" do you even understand the shit that comes out of your mouth? do you even know what inflation means?
Allan, calm down buddy, nobody cares about your inflation mumbo jumbo (you don't have a clue what you are on about do you?).
It's all over for Howard, why bother spewing out your rubbish here? Like I said above, if your so sure Howard is gonna win, go put a bet on him, prove the bookies wrong...
Prime Minister
Pay on the party that provides the prime minister following the next election.
these are just sad scare campaigns made by the liberals, the liberals cant run the nation because they keep inflating the economy which as resulted in 6 interest rate rises!! The liberals praise themselves on economic success, but take a look at our public hospitals and our education system, IT SUCKS!! KEVIN 07!!
You dumbass, another person who doesn't understand;
Inflation due to global economy(sub-prime crisis), drought, oil prices, strong investment. Imagine what would have happend in this situation with Rudd managing it!
Hospitals & Education managed by State govt. (Labor), Labor has NEVER managed their budgets, state or Federal! Too CORRUPT!
b.t.w - education system, when did u last go to school / uni / tafe??
im not a dumbass, i may only be 17 years old and not able to vote, but i still want my voice to be heard. This just shows how much you know about politics. Yes, your right, the states (labor) are in control of the hospitals, but the funding for the hospitals come from the LIBERALS!!! To answer your final question, im in high school.
Yeah, its all over red rover.. but I have to reply to this crap -> yes, you know lots about politics, your 17.. you have no idea, let go of your mums hairy nipples & smell the real world. No shit w.r.t. PART of the funding.. they've been getting more $ over the years & are too stupid (corrupt) to budget.. we'll now see what happens smart ass.
your so sad and childish, lets compare the use of language, your so clever with your yr 9 words. As for being too (corrupt) to budget, look wat happens when you DONT spend money. Our public health system is shit, our education system is being dummed down, our broadban is slower than a wet weak! so before you say state labor cant budget, take a look around you and be grateful that ruddy is going to do something about it!!!
By the time you leave school unemployment will have risen....the only place you will get money is the dole office. You should have been around in the Whitlam, Hawke and Keating years!!!
If IR reform was so bad how do you explain why W.A voted for the Libs, this state has had IR reforms for 5 years & is also the state with the most union influence??
Do you think you know more than a state full of people actually experiencing the reforms?
Its amazing how tv advertising can swing a vote... guess thats why Labor hired 2 famous ppl for the campaign with no political.. or any other experience.
Because a few west australians voted for the status quo dowsn't make you right. The majority of Australians don't agree with you or them.
Next time you feel like leaning all over a 17 year old for expressing a view different to your own, remeber you are only 24 and know fuck all about life, except what you have read - so why don't you let go your mummys apron strings and grow up. Yor Mob Lost!!
ahhh typical liberal attitude, you must be one of those smart asses who have this mindset that the labor party are "anti business" because alot of ruddys cabinet are made up of former trade unionists. Obviously you dont know a thing about politics, small businesses make up over 80% of employment in Australia in the private sector mate.
I have lived through more Labor and Ligeral govts then you have boy. It seems you have all the answers. At least you know that over 70% of people are employed in small business.Would you like me to tell you about the Whitlam years are maybe the Hawke/Keating years. Its simple for small business...If you can't fire them than you can't hire them!
keating made it clear mate that we "HAD" to have that recession, common sense would tell you that after an economic boom there comes a recession. what goes up must come down. i dont think you realise how many businesses are established every day. the reason businesses are failing is because of howards ir laws. let me put it plain and simple for you:
You are an absolute wanker. When Witlam came to power you were 6 when he left you were still in primary school - you know stuff all aboutn the Whitlam years that you haven't been told. As for closing down your business GOOD - with your attitude you don't deserve the privilege of employing real people. BOY!!
Some of you people need to get out of the cities..turn off your high powered electrical consumption to reduce green house gases. Take a drive to the country to where the real aussies live!!
Labor voters can't handle change...they want business to change the world to but when it comes to them changing THEY CAN"T HANDLE IT!!Because it affects their financial situation!!
the funding for education and health comes from the feds, who raise most of the revenue. These barstatds saved it for their re-election strategy - buy votes, didn't work this time!!
NSW is the highest taxed state in Australia thanks to our NSW Labor Govt.Rudd is the one that bought votes. The cost of a house in NSW has 1/3 STATE taxes applied.States wre supposed to drop taxes after the GST came in ...they did not!!!
Haha.. you'll be crying if Rudd wins. You are obviously pretty stupid, you need all the economic help you can get...
Did you watch the press conferences this week, Rudd was asked what he has in place to stop the unions taking him over, he couldn't answer... cause a 70% majority has the power to make Rudd a bystander
His name is Peter Costello, And he likes to act all mellow, you can stand under his umbrella, yeah, under his umbrella, ella, ella, ey, ey, ey, interest rates...Economy, ella ella ey ey ey ey ey ey...
Here, let me list a few reasons why Howard is GONE... Never EVER GST Core/non-core promises Tampa/children overboard Iraq war/WMDs Dr Haneef visa withdrawl Workchoices IR laws No climate control/enviroment plan David Hicks secret deal Pointless APEC meeting John Howard is a puppet to George Bush Horse flu bungle Record spending for govt. advertising/propaganda I can go on, but it's pointless, Howard is GONE & nothing you & I will say can change that.
I doubt Labour has an environmental policy. They even supported the Gunns Pulp Mill in Tasmania and are also going to build Desalination Plants all over Australia
The Labor Gov is a political party full of Union coffers who have vested interest in their domination of Australian Workplaces. I hope you remember the time of Keating when unions were in charge. There was massive unemployment, RECORD high interest rates (12-14%) and EXTREAMELY high inflation. The Howard Gov. has releaed this country of th wreak Labor created. I doubt Australians will want to visit the time of high interest rates when they are already struggeling to pay off loans at (8.25%).
Ok, you gonna look backwards instead of the future? I can easily state some of the figures while John Howard was tresurer (22% interest rates etc), but mate, I look forards not backwards.
Either way, Howard is gone, nothing anybody says here can & will change that.
Well SMART ppl will need to make an informed choice and vote a political party based on their past track record. John Howard may have not been a decent treasurer but consider the circumstances the world economy was in when he was treasurer. The Labor Party has a consistantly worser track record on economic management. Ppl who vote for Labor will ruin this growing economy.
Blakjak mentions looking to the future with Rud but his ideas are taking us back into the past... what a contradiction.
2 union bosses are on their way out, VIC Police union boss (giving whitness details to underworld hitmen for MONEY), NSW Transport union leaders under investigation for corruption (STEALING MONEY set aside for training), these are just the ones they have picked up recently.. says alot about the need for Unions.
To Hamish, the ecconomic climate was far worse in the 1980's then it was in the 1970s (stock market crash in 1987), yet mortgage interest rates where lower under Hawke/Keating (peak 17%) than they were under Frazer/Howard (22%). Do your homework boofhead.
Either way, us arguing here is pointless, it's all over for Howard, he is 70yo & he is finished. Why bother spouting hot air for nothing right??
I do admit that I kinda like Costello, he has balls like Keating did, but Howard is a fukn bumbling goose, & he also couldn't lie straight in bed.
Like I said above, us arguing here is pointless, if you are so sure that Howard is gonna win, go put a bet on him. He is paying $4 (3 to 1), Rudd is paing $1.25 (4 to 1 on). The bookies rarely get it wrong, but like I said above, if you are so sure, go put your money where you typing finger is buddy boy.
The crooks have been making so much money for years from RSL's & the like.. Labor runs many large revenue raising clubs & funds, where the money has been going to Labor leaders / union leaders for years. There's so much corruption in Labor & so many of you have the ignorance to keep supporting them, when at the end of the day you'll be as worse of as me.
Allan, you are obviously from a well to do family who has never experienced real life. The stuff you are spouting out (RSL clubs? wtf?) is crap.
Either way, Howard & the Libs are GONE, if a govt & PM can do all the stuff Howard has done & get away with it then we might as well all start rorting the system & lying to everybody.
I can't wait to see a teary John Howard announce his retirement on the 24th, it will be gold.
So the obvious conclusion to be taken from this ad: dictatorship GOOD, democracy BAD. Clearly the only people with any experience are going to be the incumbents. If it weren't for nasty things like the constitution no doubt the Libs would be simply abolishing elections altogether. Go team! Go dictatorship!
Real issue: DO WE NEED TO HAVE THE RESERVE BANK OF AUSTRALIA. The RBA is run by foreign entities and has massive powers: 1. Creating money (from nothing). 2. Selling Australian's assets (gold). 3. Setting interest rates. Ask yourself: What mechanism creates new money? Why is nearly every country in the world in debt? and how could there possibly be that much debt? Why we have inflation? watch ? v=n_Jnt61b4nk watch ? v=cy-fD78zyvI
We have had 10+ years of economic growth thanks to the reforms put in place by the previous Labor government + the resources demand from China and India. The stale old Liberals have just sat back, taken credit, and blamed everything that has gone wrong on others.
Economy NOW in surplus after climbing out of Labour debt hole (Labour built up debt but where did the $ go, govt spending didn't go up, bad management perhaps??) The Libs have developed a monetary policy with the RBA that has managed the economy almost auto, i.e. inflation gos above 3% & interest rates have to rise to counter this. It works & its kept the economy steady through global ups & downs.
Who do you think established the Economic mechanisms that you speak of Pea Brain? Who implemented the Economic reforms, and what were they called? I'll give you a clue - it wasn't Howard or Costello? Go do your homework and get back to us when you've done some research beyond the Howard/Costello lies. Learn to think for yourself - your naivity is so transparent!!
Well fuckstick, it was actually our mate Jonny who initiated the deregulation of the financial industry which has been the biggest + for everyone since WWII...following the forced dismissal of the Labor govt. Google the Campbell Inquiry if u don't already know.
Labour govt implemented Jonnies ideas after first opposing them, they couldn't manage it & now Jonny has control of his own creation.
Unions, giving the power back to the people taken away by little Johnny. Let's face it, he is right about everything, to self assured and unwilling to listen to the voice of the population. OH, SORRY! Johnny Boy.
You mean the voice of the pokie room population dont you?? Thats a common Labour supporters ground.. full of wingers who think that one day someone will just give them everything they want.
The majority is better off because of little Jonny, lots may not realise i.e. did u know inerest rate rises actually save us from worse effects?? Its taken 10 years to rid the effects of the unions, fuk bringing them back!
"Power to the people - ha". What is that supposed to mean?? We are *all* 'the people' - unless you think that your sh#t doesn;t stink and that you somehow stand outside (on your own) in your own little enclosed world? You define a *whinger* (your spelling is attrocious) as someone who believes that it's not OK to take it up the arse from his employer. "Oh - BTW - you're sacked - because I don't like the smell of your deodorant". Workchoices strips basic rights - how is that better off dimwit??!
Sorry cockface, I should have put "" around "power to the people", the "..HA" was me laughing at your Labour supporting mate friendlystranger, so I guess your rant should have been directed at him. THAT'S WHAT IT MEANT MORON
Howard has done little for the Australian economy, he's sat back and reaped all the rewards from the Keating economic reforms. Any other growth is attributed to the resources boom. Labour HAS a vision for Australia's future, the Libs only wish to perpetuate their term in power.
... Howard tells Rudd to "grow up", this scare campaign makes plain both his supidity & hypocrisy
Really? Can we see one of Kevin Rudd's policies then? Howard says exactly how he will do something. Rudd has lofty goals without anything exact, because he doesn't know how to.
Every time Howard criticises ALP, Rudd takes it personally. It is purely political, yet Rudd is trying to put a negative spin on Howard.
The current ALP are inexperienced and naive in running a country, not to mention an overwhelming number of unionists.
The voice-over guy is the same as the Libs used in the last election. In fact, this even looks like the Latham ad - the Liberal Think Tank thought they'd recycle an old idea...sounds familiar. What's the current cash rate Howard?! "Er, er, it's 6.25%". Bzzzz...6.5%...I'd rather a leader with trainer wheels than one with a walking frame!
Walking frame? Howard's fitter than most people. He just slipped up. The amount of time Rudd has forgotten something is phenomenal. The ads are similar, true, but the points are still very valid.
Yep - he slipped up - and so did Rudd - and so has Costello - and so it goes - they're human. The *big* difference though is that the coalition pounce on any error and try to divert attention from their policies - Labor don't. It's just the way it is...we've seen it time and time again over the years. The points in the ad are ignorant in the extreme. "Just ask your parents" and "Don't ruin it". Too late - Howard already f@#cking has!!
What labour policy has Rud created in the last few years that is better than
one the Libs have alredy created? hey? hey??
Labour didn't divert attention away from THEIR policies cause they had none!!
Its the labour force who suffers under labour anyway, their bad manaement scares away investment.. no $ = no projcts, no projects = no jobs, typical Labour economy with high unemployment & low consumer confidence.
allanallanson - *Labor* policy - Education Revolution (i.e - investment in Australia's *future* workforce), Child Care Support (the Coalition do not support), Sign Kyoto Protocol (Howard hasn't the 'ticker' to sign), Abolish Workchoices (nuff said). The labour force suffers under the ALP?? Hmmm - the ALP have pledged to restore the 'Unfair Dismissal Law' - and Abolish Workchoices. Australian Solar Expertise left for the US because Howard would not support. How is that Economically smart??
This is just crap that they've pulled out before the election.
Howard didn't sign Kyoto because the biggest pollution emitters haven't signed & it gives Aussie manufacturers & the like time to save for the costs associated with meeting Kyoto without having to sack thousands of workers.
Rudd must want companies like BHP to have to sack workers.
Do you know what our commitments were for Kyoto? They were to increase our emissions by no more than 8% of the 1990 levels. Of all the countries who agreed to it initially only three were permitted to increase their emissions, the others being Iceland and Norway. Great competition there.
what bullshit

The Labor Gov is a political party full of Union coffers who have vested interest in their domination of Australian Workplaces. I hope you remember the time of Keating when unions were in charge. There was massive unemployment, RECORD high interest rates (12-14%) and EXTREAMELY high inflation. The Howard Gov. has releaed this country of th wreak Labor created. I doubt Australians will want to visit the time of high interest rates when they are already struggeling to pay off loans at (8.25%).
Hamishw 4 years ago
Ok, you gonna look backwards instead of the future? I can easily state some of the figures while John Howard was tresurer (22% interest rates etc), but mate, I look forards not backwards.
Either way, Howard is gone, nothing anybody says here can & will change that.
Get used to the term "Prime Minister Kevin Rudd".
b1akjak 4 years ago
Well SMART ppl will need to make an informed choice and vote a political party based on their past track record. John Howard may have not been a decent treasurer but consider the circumstances the world economy was in when he was treasurer. The Labor Party has a consistantly worser track record on economic management. Ppl who vote for Labor will ruin this growing economy.
Hamishw 4 years ago
Blakjak mentions looking to the future with Rud but his ideas are taking us back into the past... what a contradiction.
2 union bosses are on their way out, VIC Police union boss (giving whitness details to underworld hitmen for MONEY), NSW Transport union leaders under investigation for corruption (STEALING MONEY set aside for training), these are just the ones they have picked up recently.. says alot about the need for Unions.
allanallanson 4 years ago
Yeah & so, the Liberal Party is loaded with lawyers & mega rich bosses, you want me to name all the corrupt lawyers & bosses??
I bet you there are far more of those than there are corrupt union officials.
b1akjak 4 years ago
Like who?
allanallanson 4 years ago
To Hamish, the ecconomic climate was far worse in the 1980's then it was in the 1970s (stock market crash in 1987), yet mortgage interest rates where lower under Hawke/Keating (peak 17%) than they were under Frazer/Howard (22%). Do your homework boofhead.
Either way, us arguing here is pointless, it's all over for Howard, he is 70yo & he is finished. Why bother spouting hot air for nothing right??
b1akjak 4 years ago
Costello is still better than Rudd (the ear wax eater)!
allanallanson 4 years ago
Costello is better, in what way?
I do admit that I kinda like Costello, he has balls like Keating did, but Howard is a fukn bumbling goose, & he also couldn't lie straight in bed.
Like I said above, us arguing here is pointless, if you are so sure that Howard is gonna win, go put a bet on him. He is paying $4 (3 to 1), Rudd is paing $1.25 (4 to 1 on). The bookies rarely get it wrong, but like I said above, if you are so sure, go put your money where you typing finger is buddy boy.
b1akjak 4 years ago
@allan
I agree wholeheartedly.
My father told me (yes I'm only 13) that people vote Labor to blow the economy- there is nothing more to it.
downtowntaylorslakes 4 years ago
No way will an add change my mind now. What about the last ten years of BULLSHIT. My folks say they can't vote liberal ON PRINCIPLE!
poocrapper 4 years ago
You mean the last 10 years of growth.
I bet your folks are pissed like lots of other people cause of the rate rises?
The rate rises are due to a booming economy & peoples inability to control themselvs when money becomes more available.
allanallanson 4 years ago
I don't understand how people can support Labor,
The crooks have been making so much money for years from RSL's & the like.. Labor runs many large revenue raising clubs & funds, where the money has been going to Labor leaders / union leaders for years. There's so much corruption in Labor & so many of you have the ignorance to keep supporting them, when at the end of the day you'll be as worse of as me.
allanallanson 4 years ago
Allan, you are obviously from a well to do family who has never experienced real life. The stuff you are spouting out (RSL clubs? wtf?) is crap.
Either way, Howard & the Libs are GONE, if a govt & PM can do all the stuff Howard has done & get away with it then we might as well all start rorting the system & lying to everybody.
I can't wait to see a teary John Howard announce his retirement on the 24th, it will be gold.
b1akjak 4 years ago
So the obvious conclusion to be taken from this ad: dictatorship GOOD, democracy BAD. Clearly the only people with any experience are going to be the incumbents. If it weren't for nasty things like the constitution no doubt the Libs would be simply abolishing elections altogether. Go team! Go dictatorship!

We have had 10+ years of economic growth thanks to the reforms put in place by the previous Labor government + the resources demand from China and India. The stale old Liberals have just sat back, taken credit, and blamed everything that has gone wrong on others.
SkipperPhil 4 years ago
10+ years of economic growth driven, on the whole, by strong Labor State Governments
Runestaff 4 years ago
Hahaha.. Sorry mate but your stupid.
It works & its kept the economy steady through global ups & downs.
allanallanson 4 years ago
Who do you think established the Economic mechanisms that you speak of Pea Brain? Who implemented the Economic reforms, and what were they called? I'll give you a clue - it wasn't Howard or Costello? Go do your homework and get back to us when you've done some research beyond the Howard/Costello lies. Learn to think for yourself - your naivity is so transparent!!
thruglow 4 years ago
Well fuckstick, it was actually our mate Jonny who initiated the deregulation of the financial industry which has been the biggest + for everyone since WWII...following the forced dismissal of the Labor govt. Google the Campbell Inquiry if u don't already know.
Labour govt implemented Jonnies ideas after first opposing them, they couldn't manage it & now Jonny has control of his own creation.
allanallanson 4 years ago
The second word tells your story, level of inteligence and obvious lack of common decency. Defenition of Narcisist, JOHN HOWARD.
freindlystranger 4 years ago
yeah good call f.s.
The fact you are sticking up for Rudd shows your level of inteligence.
If Rudd gets in just watch the unemployment rate rise.
allanallanson 4 years ago
I never said I supported ol fuddy duddy ruddy. Or did I? Don't even care to remember..... ROFLMAO
freindlystranger 4 years ago
Nobody hates Rudd (well nobody claims to publicly), I know alot of ppl that hate Howard, he even admits it himself (love me or loath me etc).
Who want's a leader who is hated (& with good reason), I guess 55% of the Australian ppl thats who.
Bring on the election.
b1akjak 4 years ago
I hate Rudd! Do you speak for 55% of Australia?
I didn't see Rudd getting the applauses Jonny was getting in the press club this week.
allanallanson 4 years ago
Unions, giving the power back to the people taken away by little Johnny. Let's face it, he is right about everything, to self assured and unwilling to listen to the voice of the population. OH, SORRY! Johnny Boy.
freindlystranger 4 years ago
Power back to the people.. ha.
Its taken 10 years to rid the effects of the unions, fuk bringing them back!
allanallanson 4 years ago
"Power to the people - ha". What is that supposed to mean?? We are *all* 'the people' - unless you think that your sh#t doesn;t stink and that you somehow stand outside (on your own) in your own little enclosed world? You define a *whinger* (your spelling is attrocious) as someone who believes that it's not OK to take it up the arse from his employer. "Oh - BTW - you're sacked - because I don't like the smell of your deodorant". Workchoices strips basic rights - how is that better off dimwit??!
thruglow 4 years ago
Sorry cockface, I should have put "" around "power to the people", the "..HA" was me laughing at your Labour supporting mate friendlystranger, so I guess your rant should have been directed at him. THAT'S WHAT IT MEANT MORON
allanallanson 4 years ago
Howard has done little for the Australian economy, he's sat back and reaped all the rewards from the Keating economic reforms. Any other growth is attributed to the resources boom. Labour HAS a vision for Australia's future, the Libs only wish to perpetuate their term in power.
... Howard tells Rudd to "grow up", this scare campaign makes plain both his supidity & hypocrisy
xxxBenightedxxx 4 years ago
SpamTheBand 4 years ago
and frankly, that's why you're stupid
PigeonPair 4 years ago
The voice-over guy is the same as the Libs used in the last election. In fact, this even looks like the Latham ad - the Liberal Think Tank thought they'd recycle an old idea...sounds familiar. What's the current cash rate Howard?! "Er, er, it's 6.25%". Bzzzz...6.5%...I'd rather a leader with trainer wheels than one with a walking frame!
thruglow 4 years ago
Walking frame? Howard's fitter than most people. He just slipped up. The amount of time Rudd has forgotten something is phenomenal. The ads are similar, true, but the points are still very valid.
SpamTheBand 4 years ago
Yep - he slipped up - and so did Rudd - and so has Costello - and so it goes - they're human. The *big* difference though is that the coalition pounce on any error and try to divert attention from their policies - Labor don't. It's just the way it is...we've seen it time and time again over the years. The points in the ad are ignorant in the extreme. "Just ask your parents" and "Don't ruin it". Too late - Howard already f@#cking has!!
thruglow 4 years ago
thruglow,
What labour policy has Rud created in the last few years that is better than
one the Libs have alredy created? hey? hey??
Labour didn't divert attention away from THEIR policies cause they had none!!
Its the labour force who suffers under labour anyway, their bad manaement scares away investment.. no $ = no projcts, no projects = no jobs, typical Labour economy with high unemployment & low consumer confidence.
allanallanson 4 years ago
allanallanson - *Labor* policy - Education Revolution (i.e - investment in Australia's *future* workforce), Child Care Support (the Coalition do not support), Sign Kyoto Protocol (Howard hasn't the 'ticker' to sign), Abolish Workchoices (nuff said). The labour force suffers under the ALP?? Hmmm - the ALP have pledged to restore the 'Unfair Dismissal Law' - and Abolish Workchoices. Australian Solar Expertise left for the US because Howard would not support. How is that Economically smart??
thruglow 4 years ago
This is just crap that they've pulled out before the election.
Howard didn't sign Kyoto because the biggest pollution emitters haven't signed & it gives Aussie manufacturers & the like time to save for the costs associated with meeting Kyoto without having to sack thousands of workers.
Rudd must want companies like BHP to have to sack workers.
allanallanson 4 years ago
Do you know what our commitments were for Kyoto? They were to increase our emissions by no more than 8% of the 1990 levels. Of all the countries who agreed to it initially only three were permitted to increase their emissions, the others being Iceland and Norway. Great competition there.
