good lesson, all thats missing the the attack, you can beat the shit out of those 13s, it will break up the amp a bit better, especially on the chord sections.
I read that srv only used 13s on the Es and and 12s in between. definitely more comfortable and it keeps that thumb-over notes just as fat.
your playing is kinda sloppy and its causing a bit of slur on some notes that really need to be clean..... MORE PRACTICE not on the notes but on proper voicing on every note.

Great lesson. It struck me in that you refer to Stevie as SRV. I think this is a disrespect. There should be only one Stevie. By using SRV it opens the door to people referring to Steve Vai as Stevie which would be a travesty. At best Via is a technician. Stevie is Miles Beyond pun intended. Again this is no dis to you. SRVs ok as a marker or tag reference like in titles and such but once the subject is clear then it should be Stevie . Thanks again great lesson and playing
Hey,Great playing also did you get that already set up for the 13-58 or did you set it up yourself? My Fender USA strat required filing the nut and all kinds of crap just to go from 9's to 11's! First I just reset the action and intonation for the 11's and for the e-flat tuning then I couldn't figure out why it would not stay in tune when it was staying in tune fine with the 9's on it and I sprayed some finger ease on the nut and it done ok so I filed the nut to accept the larger strings
Dude, tone is dead on SRV!! Nice job playing with those 13's I know they are finger killers but you make them look easy!! Love the Mooretone Bridge by the way, how do you like it??
you are raping that guitar!

The guy that built my guitar set it up with 13s. I did up a few of the lower strings with no problem
