Jan made this 1959 song more varied using key changes. It's interesting that he used this technique so early in his career. Half step jump at 0:44, a further half step increase at 1:29, then a step back to the original key at 1:41.

Took me decades to apreciate this song.Whenever I hear this song, I think of my old teacher,Clemintine Clemens,of w. Wilson school,1965 Fargo. An old school type,may she RIP.
