I'm still pissed that they got Sweed, but I'm glad they took Mendenhall so we took Chris Johnson. Being a Memphis fan, I saw him play a lot at ECU because they were in our conference. I knew he had the talent to be great, but I didn't know he could be this good.
I know everyone is bummed about them not taking a WR, but I guess Chris Johnson is suppose to be like Westbrook. A great backfield reciever, and he had the fastest 40 at this years combine.
Not a terrible pick, but I still would have went with Devin Thomas, Limas Sweed, or DeSean Jackson.

You're going to like this guy Kige. He's a Reggie Bush type player, runs a sub 4.3 40, catches the ball, returns kicks ... I think they'll line him up in the backfield and in the slot a lot. Should be a solid fit on a team that has only one offensive weapon.

Kige, wide receivers usually aren't good first round picks because they just aren't scarce enough to justify spending a first rounder on (although news of this has not reached Matt Millen obviously.) In 2006, for example, there was only one WR taken in the first round (Santonio Holmes.)
No receivers had been picked yet at #24, they gambled by waiting til the second round. Limus Sweed was taken right before Tennessee's pick and really exhausted all the WRs that were avaliable.
