I was there in 2005 as well so I know exactly the numbness you mean. It was a great rivalry between the two clubs that I think the whole competition appreciated. To end up with a flag and a Brownlow each was only fitting.

@TOD575 i was there 2005 (2 and a half day bus drive from perth - there for the game and a few hours more then had to do the same 2 and a half hours drive - and we lost - and that was thew grand final they reckon terrorists plotted to blow up - i could haven't have taken any more heartache let alone losing limbs or worse) - amazing games whenever these two teams play - pleasure to have been around for this last decade or so..
