HCBailly, I was watching your LP of Chrono Trigger, and I had just started playing it. I watched the scene with Frog and the Masamune in your LP and I had to stop watching to go finish the game.

I ended up having to restart (BSNES didn't work), and with the power of ZSNES's awesome fast forward button, I played through the whole game in a day.

It is now honestly one of my favorite RPGs ever, thanks to HCBailly.

The part from 1:30-1:50 makes me think of a chilly late October day (presumably late afternoon on Oct. 31), with the weak yellow sunlight coming through the cave entrance at a low angle. Then the Halloween full moon rises in the eastern evening sky above Magus's castle just as Crono and friends arrive. I assume they reach the end of the castle at the stroke of midnight.

You know, you finally sold me on the goodness that is Robo. TBQH, in EVERY SINGLE OTHER PLAYTHROUGH I've done for this game (and, ho-ho-ho, there are many), I ~never used him. I've been watching this whole series and you've been ~gradually winning me over.

I switched between Lucca and Robo in Magus's lair. I used Robo for attacking multiple enemies, and Lucca whenever I needed strong magic attacks (and she was really helpful in the fight with Magus).

kefka had, at the time, the most meniacal laugh i'd heard at the time. but the best, at the time, main boss type character was golbez (also known as golbeze). he didn't laugh, and that made him very creepy, especially that hand lol

I haven't stopped to powerlevel once in this LP. I just mentioned power-leveling areas to people who are interested. This game is easy enough on its own.

The Hero Medal gives Frog roughly a 50% critical rate with the Masamune. Later on after certain events (which I will not spoil), the Hero Medal gives Frog roughly a 70% critical rate.

This is one of my favorite areas. And in the original Japanese, Frog and Slash talked with respect for the other, no 'Sir Slush' joke and he even congratulated Frog after his defeat. And for the record, maybe here they are named after people from musical bands, but in Japan, their names come from condiments: Ozzie = Vinegar, Slash = Soysaw, Flea = Mayonnay (Although not exactly, it is noticeable which ones).

actually, the way he did it uses more MP for about 100 additional damage. Triple Raid uses Slash, Slurp Cut and Robo Tackle. He used Spincut and Bubble Snap . He has the Silver Stud on Crono, so it was only a difference of 1 MP.

Final Kick is worth using though, since Marle can't usually deal enough damage on her own.

I've seen Final Kick do SO much damage later in the game, it's sick. I hope you try it out on some enemies!

In Japanese lore, the Masamune is a katana that, when washed in a stream, wouldn't cut a single leaf, while its rival blade the Murasame cut every single leaf which would then bleed. Or maybe I have the two switched, I dunno.

In this game, Frog's sword is actually called the Grandlion, I believe, but was translated into the Masamune for some reason.
