If the great Joe Lovano was standing behind me and I took a solo, I'd be very conscious of it, and I would take probably 1, maybe 2 choruses MAX, and make it the best chorus ofTWNBAYou I could muster, then get the f$%k out of the way, although the 2nd trumpet soloist sounded good, but he still took too many choruses. But this is 6+ minutes of solos with each guy taking many choruses ...just bad jam session etiquette ... grow up.
