I think this kicked ass, but i also got to give my remark about you having perfect pitch in your vocals, but the Stewey persona comes out here & there. I think if you use more of the back of the throat & stop pushing too much air , sing from the diaphram Push your thumb under your chin toward your throat., you are flexing this muscle.. as you obviously have the ear for it. So just sing man, i have faith that you will undress your singing capability for all to see the emperors new cloths.
Great job, Billy. I've always suspected that this was a fairly complicated melody, but I had no idea just how much until you demonstrated it. As for your vocal effort, you're right: We need the lyrics to appreciate the song, even if singing (by your own admission) isn't your strongest suit. After all, there is only one Ian Anderson, so nobody is really offended :)
been wanting to add this song to my set list. u just made it a lot easier thanks billy btw being a singer songwriter for many years i can tell you ...you have a nice voice, not an easy song to sing. a little more projection and you're there. like my old voice coach would say. pinch those cheeks
@BillyV: I think then it was the reverb more than the vocals - the "echo" was what I didn't care for - your vocals would be fine without it! Keep up the great work!
@mvp019 Thanks. There was only a reverb effect on the vocal, so I assume you mean you didn't care for the vocals. That's OK; I'm really not a singer, but this and other acoustic songs really don't hold up well without some vocals. And though I'm not that great at it, I really enjoy it sometimes.
Hey I just listedned to this over at VB and looked you up on Yt to send a comment.
Really loved your cover. It's always been one of my fav. Tull songs and you did it justice - vocals and all. Way to go and thanks.

Good job, but I would have liked it better without the vocal effect. But I like your playing and appreciate the video!
