Fortunately I had the security feature activated so the thief could not access my contacts or make calls, but i did not have "Find My iPhone" active. If you have a MobileMe account you can activate "Find my iPhone" and it will show you the location of the phone on your computer. You can also do a clean wipe of your iPhone remotely. Anyway, there is no protection for stolen iPhones, you pay FULL cost for a replacement, which in my case was $699 + tax, nearly $800.

Stolen from my locked gym locker... they used a bolt cutter to get the lock off! really wanted it bad i guess!! last time i bring my cell phone to the gym!
