  • Sounds like a heavy version of 'Scuttle Buttin' by SRV... Lol

  • I will gladly purchase this video as long as he comes with it!! Right, in my dreams.

  • who the fuck disliked this video

  • the end is sick! :D

  • you see his hair? there's a fan somewhere on the stage. blowing from below. FACT

  • @stingray614 Actually, I'm pretty sure there's a vacuum pulling from above.

  • Vai + Sheehan = Magic

  • what the f***...!awesome

  • mr steve vai yuor my idol.. .can u give me 1 of your guitar pls.. .lol

  • hmm how come no one talks about sheehan on this 1?!?

  • now i feel like the worst guitarrist ever

  • Mickey Rourke on the bass!

  • 4:05 how the hell did they do that???? someone please tell me T_T

  • ok who was the asshole that disliked this video?

  • tawuran di jalan raya jakarta, kejar-kejaran bus kota, empet2an di KRL....ini dia OSTnya!!

    viva la Steve Vai...

  • le floyd fait bien son boulo!!!

  • It makes me renember Scuttle Buttin' , great song indeed

  • the guitar has a mind of its own!!!

  • the devil, the best song of a dueto

  • it's not a tribute, it's a cover. nonetheless... been there live and... steve blew my mind...

  • @rockapartie this isnt a cover, SRV wishes he could've play like this. its an homage to him

  • @rockapartie This is definitely not a cover my friend. Steve Vai still did a video where he talked about how he "wrote" this song. You can't write a cover song, that's for sure. SRV would never be able to play this anyway. It is a fantastic nod in SRV's direction though.

  • @SanctuaryShred You're right about everything except that I'm sure that SRV could play this easy. He was really good and hammering on and pulling off, especially with the lower frets, so he could figure out the main riff and everything else would follow from there.

  • @777Caseman777 Hmm, maybe you're right; and who am I to argue anyway? I deeply respect SRV

  • @SanctuaryShred Yeah, I suppose it's all about point of view anyway. I also respect the great SRV. May he R.I.P.

  • o vai é fóóóó´da,

    só isso.

  • Holy shit, he is literally god. Everything he does is perfect..

  • Awesome tunes, Awesome performance. :3

    steve is the best.

  • The best

  • sem graça! =(

  • Anyone who says they don't like Vai usually says they don't like his style.. well maybe that says something about you; maybe you should reconsider yours ;)

Any who witness Vai and say something negative can't wrap their minds around what they're hearing and/or seeing.

Also, the older Vai has been, the more crazy his music has gotten- and he started off at unbelievable. He's better now in his 50s and that's just wonderful. He's a mortal god in music ;)

I like to compare him with Mozart.

  • OMG Steve Vai's so cool, even his pants are cool!

  • There is a resemblance between SRV's "Scuttle Buttin" and Steve Vai's "Jibboom"

Am I the only one who thinks that?

  • @FunkMasterSteez no, you're not

  • @FunkMasterSteez

Have you got this "Cd" man?, (The Ultra Zone)... Obviously, this is a Tribute to Stevie Ray Vaughan.

    Both, MASTERS!

  • @FunkMasterSteez

Actually, If you listen to the commentary of this on DVD, Steve actually said that "Scuttle Buttin" was the influence to it. He said he always wanted to do a song like it :)

  • Satriani is the number 1... but steve vai is magical!!!

  • its a very senstive pick up....its on guitar magnet...SCREAM AND LAUD

  • I doubt anyone who gave natevalton thumbs down has even listened to The Mahavishnu Orchestra. If you have you'd probably agree with his comment.

  • Great!

even tough I like the style from lesley west (mountain) more.

but steve seems to be more sophisticated and a hard worker too!!

Steve is one of the todays guitarists who carry on the art of playing guitar on their shoulders.

  • are you fucking serious! steve vai shreads man.

  • how do they do that yelling thing at 4:00?

  • He screams into the pickup which picks up the vibrations and convert them into electric signal which goes to the amp. Roughly.

  • The Beattles used that technique on one of the Versions of Revolution.

  • via the humbuckers..if you scream at your guitar's magnet and you have a bit loud your amp, then you'll listen to your voice coming through the amp

  • 4:00 sweet... :)

  • hes just on fire here!

  • There's a real guitar hero.

  • from 4.37 on the dvd of this listen to vai n sheehan piss themselves laughing

  • this song was a tribute to SRV and it really shows some of SRV's style of playing

  • scuttle buttin is very similar to this - well the intro

  • hey stef0307, you said scuttle buttin is very similair to this, but that's because this is actually a tribute to Stevie Ray Vaughan =]

  • Wonderful!

  • one of the best guitars presentation ever...

  • I love from 7:24 onwards to 8:15.

The sweep picking after that sounds weird. And I LOVE the harmonics he pulls off from where he stands. It's awesome.

  • lol. pulling harmonics off of his relative placement to the auditorium, notice him steping very carefully trying to pull the notes out like he did at 1996 g3? thats skill.

  • Truly a legend of guitar, following a long line of greats such as Hendrix and the person this song was tributed to, SRV.

  • steve vai is the number 1

  • holy fuck, what's that basists name again!?!??!

  • billy sheehan

  • Truly Amazing

  • FUCK YEAH!!!
