bcuz kain thought raziels wings were an omen bcuz he saw a mural of his destroyer who also had wings and plus he also feared free will was an illusion and so he created a being with that trait by choosing raziel

I find it interesting that Raziel is thrown into the abyss for evolving before Kain, yet the other lieutenants also evolve in ways that Kain never does. We all know why Raziel was punished and the others were not, but I find it interesting that they don't seem to suspect anything considering they don't know.

In terms of Kain's past to the end of Defiance the order is: 1)Blood Omen, 2)Blood Omen 2, 3)Soul Reaver, 4)Soul Reaver 2, and finally 5)Legacy of Kain Defiance. But in terms of production Soul Reaver1 is the second game. I'm jsut going by the chronological order.
