Villex93....ever hear of Pete The Feet ._. the puts Lucas to shame on speed and sound. dont get me wrong. i love the way Lucas drums and he is a god. but Pete is the fastest and most accurate drummer iv heard. its not impossible to be quick with 2 feet. look at Fleshgod Apocalypse, Hour of Penance, Morbid Angel (thats Pete The Feet), Decapitated. all are uber quick drummers that have no trouble with speed

Even Shannon's playing is something even the best need to practice for at least 5 years, I think. Many don't ever even try to reach these speeds. So speeds over Shannon's are just extremely hard versions of the almost impossible.

No, it works after lots of practice... no matter what pedal you use. i have Pearl Eliminators & can "float" my feet like that. It's all about economy of movement & consistent practice. Been doing it 18 yrs & it's natural. YOU CAN *DO* IT!!!!!!! \m/

Could it be so that these drummers show this technique little bit wrong because I can do it with only one leg at a time, but I can do double bass that looks like this but isn't?

wow, he uses axis... not surprised. They are the best pedals for ultimate speed and control. the one major difference between him and say, George kollias, is that shannon puts his tension at medium to loose, where George puts his at maximum tightness. I personally prefer very tight... but I'm going to try what shannon said just for "Kicks"... Pun totally intended xD

nervous foot technique. member sittin in school stressing over a test and youd move ur leg like that? or sitting there bored at a bus stop. thats all it is. but i dnt advise it. i started off druming with it. and now i gotta re learn kicks all over again. u dnt get much power. yeh triggers will fix that but my main prob was it go outa time easy and be very messy and its hard to start bars off with it. but once u do get into the grove u can blast those kicks for ages effortless. i gues prac helps

@59fiftydeep i wouldn't say don't use this technique. Just don't use it for everything. However, it's a great technique if you're over 200bpm. For 180-190 I use sort of the same technique i do otherwise. I find the hardest BPM range is 135-150. Faster than that is pretty easy and slower is as well for me at least.

Anyhow, Shannon has definitely become a legitimate extreme drummer and TBDM's most recent album sees all of the bands gained experience on the road and in writing come to fruition. And adding a much better lead guitarist to the lineup doesn't hurt either IN MY OPINION.
