Hadnt it been for that its payed,and under control by CIA and the american army,it maybe would been less controversial. The radar is able to zoom in on a tennisball,laying in the streets of Rome.
And like they are concluding in this video,norwegian politicians were scammed by Usa,couse they actually never granteed on that the Us army was going to have maincontrol over the radarstation.
And with the last years huge intelligentscandals comming from Usa,I must say this is indeed relevant.
@ZABERNISMer You don't know anything about the clarity of the sattelite connected to the radars picture clarity and the zoom. Also, USA is a terrible nation in a number of ways but the intelligenge allience between Norway and USA has prevented an invasion from Russia since the Cold War. We are very lucky to have those radars up there. Combining radar and anti-missile defence from USA with excellent Norwegian drone and missiles, we are a steel wall that cannot brake.

During the Operation Desert Storm,Usa rented all mobile radarsysmes from Norway,and the equipment were by the war front all the time.
Also the Vardø radar was an important Iraq survailence tool..The radar are made to zoom on a tennisball on a street in Rome,,from the arctic folkz...
