  • @StormHornet56 You can get cards that take the PCI slot which is the white slot or the short PCi x1 slot ..If you plan on going connecting to your stereo by an optical cable the best card would be Creative Labs SB X-FI Titanium Fatal1ty Pro which connects by the PCI x1 slot which is the very short slot but it you dont plan to go optical then go with the Creative Labs X-Fi Xtreme Gamer Fatality pro series and that uses the pci slot which is the white slot..

  • What kind of PCI port does this take? I have two graphics cards and I don't want to get a sound card whom's port is covered.

  • i have onboard sound and it works fine in a few games like valve's. But in gta 4 i can't hear major sounds like ambient, footstep and voices are really slow, it's like i can hear 50% of the game. Should i install new soundcard?

  • Hardware is superb. drivers are SHIT. i have this card for like a year and a half and im very pleased with the sound quality BUT the driver support aweful

  • @Weini123 well it is a really old card :S

  • @RA1KU this is my 3rd creative soundcard (audigy I+II and this one) and i always had driver issues. i agree this card is getting old BUT nvidia drivers even support the old 6xxx series. i dont know how big the difference between old and new audio chips is but i dont think that the difference is as significant as it is with grafics card (core architecutres, dx9-11, etc etc). most parts stay the same only the sound chip gets improved so why make new drivers+software for each chip?

  • @RA1KU The card isnt old its a pci express card i looked all over for a good card money was no object i looked everywhere its still better then the top of the line Asus card so i bought it and it rocks i use it on my logiteh Z-5500 speaker system

  • @RA1KU It may have came out a few years ago but it have all the same features as new creative sound cards it has the CMSS- 3D.. 24 bit crystalizer..Has 64 mb's of X-Ram & Eax Advanced HD plus its all gold plated so over all theres no difference from this card to there latest...Plus its still worth $200 bucks..

  • @Weini123 Tell me what stereo do you have this card hooked to...Myself i have the Logitech Z-5500 & this card just works perfect with this sound system..

  • @DWcriticism my speakers are from teufel (its a german manufacturer and they pretty much destroy everything else on the speaker market in my opinion). im also using a denon 1912 AVR. a few days ago i found out what dolby digital live is and now im using it. (creative had some license problems with dolby cause they didnt pay them money so creative had to disable that function with their new drivers). bought the DDL and DTS pack today and im very pleased with the soundquality.

  • @Weini123 Yes i have heard of them..There a pretty sweet system..What THX series did you buy..The system 10 sounds pretty wild set up with 2 sub woofers but again the price would be way out of my range...

  • @DWcriticism my pc area is only about 3m³ so i went for an entry lvl speaker system (concept f) it was about 250 USD including cables. a good friend of mine has the theater 2 set (subwoofer is about 30 kg) in his living room and it´s more than enough for the average user in my opinion. i would not consider buying the theater 10 set unless you have a real home theater room in your house because the power of that thing is just ridiculous.

  • i need the driver :D

could some1 send me a link with the direct download ?

  • @peNut1337 get creative softwear auto updater

  • @naywils done :D

  • Lol at 1:25

If you're gonna spend 200 dollars on a sound card, DON'T LISTEN TO COMPRESSED AUDIO FORMATS! .FLAC or GTFO.

  • this guy is full of shit

  • is my old ct card faulty. just works on old board now its shallow distored on 2 boads i have bought. never have i had to set a latency to get a card to go. i have notice it gets back quicker and more heat. ever driver, xp, 7, my other boards have this throating crap you cant disable and list 25,50,75%. Maybe i should buy another card?

  • 4:00 That's not MIDI or gameport. You have to buy a special adapter for that.

  • I still have my SB Live!It still works perfectly fine.Never sold it.

  • had this card for severals years now and i reinstalled my computer just today

from the start i only had the one that was on the motherboard, and holy shit, i have forgot how crap that normal sound sounds like, i love my soundblaster <3

  • press 2 over and over again and he does a handjob whit a invisible man :P

  • will it still sound as good if im using it through my tv using hdmi?

  • so the base from songs and games gets deleted, and the card makes new base for the song. HEY!!! ISN'T THAT ILLEGAL?!?!?! I hate it when people like this makes up fancy words to confuse people into buying it. so at 1:23, he says he "doesn't know how these guys do it", yet at 1:25, he explains how it's done. Also, at 1:25, he says the frequencies get "rebuilt, and resampled." this makes no sense at all. There is no such thing as rebuilding and resampling soundwaves. Sorry :/

  • dont waste your maney this things

  • I have 24-bit sound onboard!

  • Somehow... I'm not sure how they do it... He says this 4 times lol.

Also tday's pc's do not have better sound then this.

CMSS 3D makes any speakers sound louder and way better with music.

  • theirs a lot u don't know about this

  • 15% increase in performance? wtf, more like 1-2%

  • @toontent back then :)

  • he is probably on prozac he would make an awesome used car sales man i just cant beleive anything he is selling it would help if hed just stop chewing tobacco, lolk

  • i bet any computer has better sound card now...

  • Caused me nothing but problems. Finally went back to on-board audio.

  • Bunch of bs, the card is plague with compatibility issues with certain mobos and video cards IRQs...

Not to mention that now EAX is obsolete at some point, OpenAL is the new sound system in windows...

  • I'll never buy from Creative again, even the driver that comes with the card doesn't work and not even the one on the web site. OMG....

  • this + tritton ax pro = o.O

  • 3 categories = crackle, pop, and no sound

  • he should be a car sales man

  • @shopperman2007 he shouldnt take speed

  • @shopperman2007

    haha yer i agree

  • 64 mb extra ram wont mean much next to my other few gb.

  • Comment removed

  • i think i should have one

  • Its not just hardware EQ it adds more punch and sharpness without it sounding like you used an EQ doesnt make an Mp3 sound as good as CD though. The bad drivers is all rumers been using crative cards since 2000 never had bad problems. Only thing with the X-fi is changing modes sometimes requires a restart.

  • TigerTV seems to know nothing about computers.

  • it's very recomend SC ?

aor any one know better SC ?

actualy I will use it for game bfbc2 music and watch movie :)

  • I only have the x-fi titanium sound card. Not the extreme one or fatl1ty one, just the regular one. Really good card. Works perfect with windows 7 x64.

  • Got the card a year ago and it worked okay. Recently upgraded to an i7 with an Asus Rampage III MB with Win7 64b and the system simply doesn't recognize the card. Did a lot of troubleshooting and nothing worked.

I have a simple 2.1 bose speaker setup because of space constraints. The speakers work and sound great when hooked up to my ipod. After getting nowhere, I switched to my MB sound and I have sound. I've been using creative for years, and love the front panel input but I give up.

  • @steveleenow not that this is of much help, but I've got this card, an i7 and Windows 7 64-Bit and it works great, I take it you have tried the latest drivers from the creative website?

  • @EDG20091 Yeah, I had at the time downloaded all the latest drivers. It worked out better to remove it though as it gave me more room in my setup for a better video capture card :)

  • this card is driving me crazy, i'm using it with a sennheiser pc 151 under win 7 and xp, it's ridicoulus difficult to setup the microphon in a way that my mates ccan't hear every noises.

  • Just got one of this card. Its very disappointing. Sounds is really good BUT it has got popping & cracking sounds every no and then. Contacted creative, they tried to help but cant seems to solve my problem. No good. I rather stick to my onboard soundcard.

  • no HDMI

  • its good went it works it burn out like in 2 years no good

  • i want drvr for this card any one plzzz snd me aa link

  • Creative sucks

    Asus ftw!

  • @pray06 Yes, ASUS sounds more balanced in my opinion.

  • i have a Creative T6100 5.1 sound system and an onboard-chip named Realteak HD Audio ALC 1200

do you think if i use this sound card i will hear much difference?

  • without a doubt you will hear a difference. My old motherboard had the same soundcard you have, I had to renew it last week and bought one of these for doing some demo tracks (am a pro session musician). The quality is outstanding! Buy one now £30 will get you one off ebay but make sure you get the xtremegamer fatil1ty pro and not just the xtremegamer they are different cards. The cheaper card is about half the size of the back plate

  • @Jony5aliv hm, i got the Xtreme Gamer used on ebay for 32,50€

i thought the only difference about gamer and gamer fatal1ty pro was just the big X-Ram?

  • @JakobRobert00 thats a good price, the difference is 2mb on the standard and 64mb on the fatal1ty, also with the half height card you dont get the option to add I/o console and i/o drive box. The last two may not be important. But if you are really into your midi then you want the biggest memory for your soundfonts, the smallest one I use is 8mb, but the one I use for recording is 25Mb. Obviously you cant load 25Mb soundfont onto a card that only has 2mb on it. Hence the recommendation.

  • why are there only 3 plugins for front x2, rear x2, center subwoofer. what to do with your five plug things on your headphone/speakers

  • yes yes finally piece of harware that can create data on its own! :D LMAO... don't talk about stuff you don't even remotely know.

btw: "OMG 200GB RAM that must be best sound card and the fastest too!"

  • I dont know about you guys but creative products is artificial for me.. they make fake solutions ,and they invent their own so called technology where if compared to more professional sound hardware its better cause its natural..maybe the closest thing you can buy is m audio soundcards...that xfi is fine but for an audiophile like me that wont work...

  • I think he means the X-Ram support

  • doesn't support Aliens vs Predator 2010

  • In what way?

  • I uninstalled and reinstalled but only the drivers not the extra software, runs better but for some reason my speakers get switched by the card, for example listenin to youtube one speaker on the right will switch with the center channel. Creative makes amazing sound cards with absolutely crap drivers, its a very well known problem. Also since vista there is less benefit to use these since eax is dead. And try using alchemy without a performance hit.

  • @ScrewYouNapster The Crystalizer add's new life to MP3 files.

  • I just installed the XtremeGamer version of this card on my new gaming PC and there's a WORLD OF A DIFFERENCE in sound. I will never use onboard audio again. It truly is HD audio. Your music and games sound so much more clear when you have the Crystalizer enabled.

  • u guys have to understand... this pcb came out ages ago.... realtek is coming back with that ALC889A.... but for music i would go for x-fi for their crystalisers

  • I get the impression their trying to sell us something lol. Creative makes amazing products with the absolute worst drivers and support. Eax has died and now the consumer suffers, we have mediocre onboard sound and our games have lost that great sound EAX offered.

  • eehh, at least we still got cmss-3d. better than nothing.

  • @greyfoxzero I had no problems installing it on Windows Vista 64-Bit and no problems installing it on XP 32-Bit.

  • my cards 64-bit nigger,

  • I wouldnt go with this card. Go with the lower one that doesnt have X-Ram. So little companies use X-Ram. Its a $50.00 to $60.00 dollar difference for a feature you will never use.

  • yep, Xtreme Audio is $50 and XtremeGamer is $100, you pay $50 for 64mb of memory lol

  • I have the Sound Blaster Live 24bit and the Audigy and the both look the same lol

  • Im sorry, but I dont beg anyone for anything. He has thousands of dollars of comp. hardware. You dont live in your own house, please stop lying. We all know you are a loser who takes it out on other people over the net. Its written all over you with your messages. Youre angry, its okay, whatever happened to you as a child is over now. If you were sexually abused, or bullied, know that it doesnt have to rule over your adult life. Let me know if you need a good talk, Im here to help you.

  • Naw, thats okay, I get most of my hardware for free from my brother-in-law. While you spend your hard earned cash on things you didnt like in the end. Then get all mad that you wasted your cash, and still live in your mothers garage at the age of 24. Thats why no woman will ever love you, and you will always be a sad little man inside.

  • haha

  • Aren't you the one the one to talk about flaming. Here is the beginning of your last comments:

    "Useless little cunt"

    "Who gives a shit"

"You got a shitty ass worthless card"

    "Retarded little cunt"

I love laughing at people like you.

You are the worst troll ever, since everyone can obviously see that you aren't serious.

  • By everyone else you mean just yourself?

If so, then yes - you are the only one who thinks I'm a useless cunt, though many people can easily say that you're even worse than that.

Go back under the bridge, troll!

  • Looks like someone here has an attitude problem. Im glad he dropped money on something he didnt like in the end. He deserved it.

  • Guys just ignore ScrewYouNapster, he works for the competition, though he is right about crystalizer, that is just a marketing trick. I have this sound card and it is unbelievable in comparison to motherboard's soundcards.

  • Well, I can't really call myself a retard, but I got this card and the quality is great, IMO.

IDK what's your problem, this card is great!

  • Can you write a single comment without swearing? I doubt it.

I bet you don't even have this card, so you can't really judge it.

  • Whoa, whoa, WHOA! Relax!

P.S. - I made a spelling error there, I meant "There are MP3 files that have higher quality sound that CD's, believe it or not."

Also, you never said that MP3 was the best, you're the one who said that CD's have the best quality sound, and I just proved you wrong.

I won't even bother replying to your anymore, since you'll just flame me like crazy...

  • I love how you generalize yourself as every single audio enthusiast on earth.

There are MP3 files have higher quality sound than MP3's, believe it or not.

  • I love my X-Fi on my P45 board, and I think it is a great product. However, their driver support is absolutely atrocious! FYI running vista H.P. 32bit on Gigabyte EP45-UD3P

  • 1:25 ...you can't recreate removed bits from compressed audio. IT CAN'T BE DONE!!

You can add some highs and lows using DSP processing and modeling but it will never be good imo.

  • @Drumboy81 Using advanced algorithm creative has figured out an solution to build up extra frequencies. So on stuff that's very compressed this will come in handy. It can be done.

  • @Drumboy81 all it is is basicly a equlizer with a 10k and a 85h bost

  • @Drumboy81 Oh. My. God. Were you even listening.

He never said recreated. He said "REBUILT." Creating audio from nothing is impossible, but taking sound and rebuilding it along a Crystallizer is not impossible.

  • For all the douche bags who keep giving people thumbs down like a fucking 5 year old , try doing some research . and quit believing every youtube video you see . creative has released right on its forum , that they are having many problems with their sound cards . you can not run a creative sound card with a motherboard that has nvidia .

creative is a shit company who makes crap cards. onboard audio is better than those cards

  • Never run a creative sound card with drivers that came in the box problem solved.

  • never ever buy a creative card there will be a 50%chance that is not going to be reliable like mine!!

  • my new soundcard is creative and it sucks . you can not watch any online video like youtube with out it cracking or popping. stay away from creative their cards have problems

  • Which card have you got, because it needs sending back. I've had Creative cards for years and never had any problems. Recently purchased this card and it is awesome. Can watch videos, play music and games with beautifully sharp sound.

  • I've one of those... compared with old Creative cards or Realtek/Intel HD integreated audio these cards are awesome.

However right now are discontinued I recommend to new users look for the X-Fi Titanium.

  • spdif i wejście optyczne - gdzie ja się dowiem czegoś na ten temat?!

  • I want 1, I'v herd they use less resoarces than intergrated sound, and they give u more frames per second in games :)

I think im going to buy 1

  • I got one it's way better than the Audigy 2 ZS I had, make sure you plug it into a decent HI-Fi with decent interconnect cable.

  • Kick ass Sound Card, i have this works great

  • But I can't afford everything!

    I'm not a fony, Logan :(

  • hey wat is com1 & com2 in back of a computer ?????

  • He's into music and into games because that's what salesmen say :P

  • Na but he really is. He's now on razetheworld, plays games and listens to death metal xD

  • What I really want to know is what is the sound quality difference between the X-Fi Titanium and the Titanium whuch has an EMI shield. is the EMI shield snake oil?

  • Plug your headphones into the card if you like it's supposed to do 3d surround sound through headphones but i only have two ears.

  • Comment removed

  • is that a pci type lol

  • since I use headphones most oof the time would a sound card even be worth getting?

  • wtf logans voice is different?

  • i think he thinks something different then he says about some products.

    or he has a cold

  • i got better =)

  • September 17, 2007, good job

  • yeah i got better bitches! it costs 900 dollars

  • LOL!!!!!

  • Logan FTW!!

  • before i bought this i played vietcong2 for two months, but then when i installed it and played the game i started hearing all kinds of other sounds, freakyass animal type sounds when i was playn the game. and it sounded like it came from behind me and i dont even have surround sound

  • wow 10-15% more speed.

    lololololololololol

  • Comment removed

  • Woot, I really need this, cause my onboard is kinda dead.

  • Comment removed

  • 10-15% Jump in speed?

    Bullshit.. Maybe 1-3%

Not saying its not a good card.

Its an amazing card, I recomend it :)

  • it was 2yrs ago dude

  • @Julabrus33 15-20% but only in games which support xram technology, very good card

  • I've used the onboard nForce 2 audio and a Sound Blaster PCI card and I didn't see any difference in framerate when playing WoW.

  • my onboard audio sounds fine... i can hear people coming behind me too.

  • that's what i thought until i actually upgraded to X-FI Xtreme Music. The difference was easily audible and i was blown off by the sound quality.

But the cmss-3D is lousy for music, so that's the 1st option i disable cause it sounds too artificial.

  • I have a gigabyte M57SLII-DS4 Motherboard,will it support this sound Card?

  • Yes it will.

  • Wow, a 15% jump in gaming performance! I had no idea my 3.2GHz Quad Core and video card were being so bogged down by sound!

    /sarcasm

  • X-Fi cards suck seriously dont buy them. the sound breaks after a few hours. called the squeal of death

  • yea he is right... but while they work it does sound cool....

but if u have headphones on. and on loud.. that scream of death can really hurt your ears.

  • this guy is priceless.... he's a tech reviewer and says stuff like "somehow they make it sound like ppl coming up behind u... i dunno how they do it.. but somehow, they do it..." LOL :P good stuff.

  • Well,Logan DOES know a little bit more than you about soundcards, just to let you know.

  • LOL, I wouldn't be suprised if fatal1ty doesn't use Creative's Fatal1ty sound cards :P

  • 64MB....thats worthless for me. My CPU is running at 3.4GHz and I have 8GB of RAM. I never use it all, so theres no point.

  • Boost my framerate?!!?,

    this would be minimal.

  • i cant even activate the damn crystalizer. nothing in the control panel makes a difference when activated

  • SPEAKING SHIT. no test or samples

  • I own a creative X-Fi card and I can tell you this Crystalizer thing is all bullshit; you can do the same with equalizer. Other than that the card does sound better than integrated one.

  • I was like "Wow..." when I heard that thing, then I bought a random pair of headphones for about 3 US$, and I could hear the "low freq. like cymbals", and I have a nForce 2 MPU.

  • do not buy if you haven't a decent speakers...

  • ive got x540s. they will be good?

  • this sound card is more expensive than your speakers, i think no, you will not notice a different or too tiny. i think go for more cheap sound card.

but this card is very good, if you have good headset buy it cuz you can use the cmss-3d

  • I'm not buying this one, I'm buying a different one that has great reviews. Same features though. I have last years "Best" speakers on the market. But I think they should be okay for a card from the same manufacturer. I have a Cambridge Soundworks Creative DTT3500 Digital. I think some card features only work with the Digital Output. Analog isn't as good.

  • Agreed. Much better than my old soundblaster live !

  • Hes an awesome presenter.

  • How much is it in €?

  • 130 Euro

  • Rebuilding lower frequencies? That existed in the first walkmans, and its called BASS BOOST.

You can never trust these shitty reviews, honestity doesn't exist because these guys are always paid by the companies they review

  • ive got logitech x-540 speakers and they have 3 connections. green, orange, and black. where do i put them in this card??

  • in your ass

  • i know my hardware the fatality edition is identical to the standard edition exscept for the xram wich is only utilized by 2 games otherwize this and fatality use the same processing fatalty 140 other 75

  • How much is it in EUR?

  • He told us everything apart from its extremely exaggerated high price.

  • Fatal1ty is such a sellout >.>

  • how bout for recording music in cool edit pro?? would dis product be good?!?
