  • This guy seriously has money to just throw around if he can afford two mac pros!

  • I wonder if hes disrobed a woman that carefully...nahhhh

  • What's the older one up there? Power Mac G5 or Mac Pro?

  • @tipoomaster power mac g5

  • still not worth the money.

  • That's a machine worth buying.

  • @lsbtrindade worth buying???5k get fucked! lol

  • @soniqLCD Yet...worth buying. Try a Dell. It will make sense in some months.

  • @lsbtrindade actually here in Australia its 5999$ starting price, thats not including SSD etc etc so u are looking at 7k at the end of it. thats just way too much. i rather get a Intel Core i7 2700K, XFX 7970 3GB xXx, 120GB SSD etc for just over 2k and pocket 4k

  • @soniqLCD in denmarks 40000dkk wich corresponds to 8000$ US

  • @raketenDK 8000$ unbelievable, thats the reason mac pro don't sell. Apple money hungry.

  • @soniqLCD yeah but everything in denmark are becomming or is very expensive, also normal hardware :(

  • shiiit video\

  • Nice organized setup looks good subd

  • I hate to say it, but that thing looks nice.

  • is that a giant printer in the background xD

  • PC pour jouer et MAC pour travaille

  • Hi There i print mostly photographic mostly wedding studio prints

  • @Hingokalasingha Didn't know that using a printer required a Mac Pro...nor did I know that using a printer was a job.

Anyway, can I have your old Mac Pro?

  • That is a pretty awesome studio you've got there. That large format printer is a sight to behold. What type of print work do you do?

  • too much money??

  • Damn Steve Jobs was so smart. He has successfully convinced stupid people to buy PC hardware at a ridiculous price. All this hardware can be bought for less than half of what these 2 idiots paid (at retail). It just goes to show you that in the business world branding and marketing are the only things that matter.

  • @joshafool Good luck finding a Xeon set up with the same or equivalent hardware for "less than half" the price.

  • LoL the guy said 2 12cores lol lol lol lol

  • @killer00797 Technically is it, they have 12 threads thanks to HyperThreading. 6 physical cores and 2 threads per core.

  • Comment removed

  • What is that for a large printer on your desk?

  • @MacTech4ever95 More than likely photos or some sort of marketing.

  • Whats the point in having a gaming mac when all the games are on pc wtf what a waste.

  • @MrGabe247 Never heard of the ability to install and run Windows on a Mac via Bootcamp, huh?

  • @MrGabe247 it's not a gaming mac it's a workstation and it's mend for professional use

  • Sooooooo... whats the boot time on that, 5 minutes lol i remember back in my days when hard drives were cool. now there just slow as shit. really doesn't make a difference if you got 1 core or 12, still gonna be slow as shit because you have a HARD drive. hahahah

  • Stop using AMD/PC video card. If Mac is so good, make your own fucking video cards and CPU's

  • I was thinking about going with a New 12 core MacPro ... but after Apple killed off FCP with FCP X (aka iMovie Pro) and FCP 7's rendering of a sequence is actually faster on the i7 4 core iMac, I'll skip the MacPro and use either a PC or iMac for FCP 7. But anyway, you most likely have the last and final MacPro, current MacPro's are End-Of-Line. Apple is moving away from the Professional market.

  • @robainscough Get a Mac Pro and just use Avid or Premiere Pro if you don't like where FCPX is going. You'll be stuck in the past in no time if you just carry on using FCP 7 with the rate the industry moves on.

  • @TalesOfWar Probably going with Adobe Suite and will sadly be a Windows OS (ugh) ... too bad, I really enjoy OSX but gotta go with flexibility and power especially for Cinema 4D projects and Adobe PP. I'll still use my MacPro for other tasks that aren't processor hungry. You had a good run MacPro, so sorry Apple decided to dump the Pro line ... hang onto your unit, it'll be worth something someday.

  • @robainscough They haven't dumped the Pro line lol, they just have nothing to upgrade them with because Intel are dragging their feet. If you haven't noticed, the Mac Pro refresh cycles always coincide with Intel releasing new Xeons, which they haven't done for a while, and the latest Sandy Bridge-E Xeons aren't really much of an upgrade. They're waiting for Ivy Bridge.

  • @TalesOfWar Intel have released new Xeon's 3.4Ghz which never made it to the MacPro line. Apple have NOT asked for any engineering samples of Intel's latest (soon to be released) Xeon - this tells me EOL for MacPro. Time is money for professionals, even a 400Mhz increase can save a ton of money come rendering. Pro's are always moving to the latest hardware because time IS money ... Apple taking 2+ years to get out a new MacPro just isn't gonna work for anyone serious about their profession.

  • @robainscough Agreed. Better off building your own PC's if Rendering time is that important. Choose awesome components, put it together yourself and if you must you can make it into a Hackintosh anyway :)

  • @djdavedoc By "newer Xeons" I meant the faster models of the same product line that came out after the 2.93GHz chips launched along side the Mac Pro. You can stick the 3.4GHz 6 core Xeons in there just fine, if you're OK with potentially voiding your warranty.

  • @djdavedoc Doh, replied to the wrong chap, lol.

  • @robainscough You can use the newer Xeons in the Mac Pro if you fancy swapping them out yourself. They didn't bother with the Sandy Bridge-E stuff because it's really not worth creating a whole new system running on a different socket platform for the marginal improvements. They're waiting for Ivy Bridge, along with the rest of the market. Intel have really really dragged their feet with them. They should have been out towards the latter half of 2011, now we won't see them till near Q2 this year

  • Mac for life.

  • What i would do: unbox display and mac, turn on and se if it blows up or not :D

    naa just kiddin.

  • what kind of job do you have? I'd like to apply for it right away :P

  • @rtownz251251 Hes in the mafia :)

  • Just joking. Why so serious...In my joker voice!

  • He got it off a stolen credit card.

  • @DjEazyP and how do you know this?

  • you have a mac pro and got another one?!?

i cant even get a mac mini, and you just by a 12 core mac pro!!!

AND ITS NOT A PC ITS A MAC!!!MAC!!!NOT!!!PC!!!

  • @CentralNintendo1 MACs are PCs. People usually refer to Windows when they say PC and that's why even Apple itself claims their MAC to not be a PC. But by definition, any computer which is used for personal use is a PC and a MAC fits under that definition.

  • @CentralNintendo1 actualy a mac is a pc because pc is Personal Computer

  • @CentralNintendo1 A mac it's a personal computer so it's a PC dumbass.

  • @CentralNintendo1

Eh yes, it is a PC -.-

    PC = Personal Computer

  • @MrRallemulle

    PC = Personal Computer

Mac = Most Advanced Computer ;)

  • @DjCsabiC

Hah, that was a good one :3 (I only take it as a joke though)

  • @MrRallemulle Stop being a smart ass on youtube. What do you gain except being fucking annoying?

  • @iBenJay

Getting angry because there is actually something behind my words? Children, pff.

A mac is a Pc whether you like it or not. But please, stop acting like a child by raging.

  • @CentralNintendo1 - Uh ya, it's a PC, just because Apple wraps it in their aluminum doesn't change the fact that Power PC lost. I happen to own one but at least I realize what it is. Mine is "only" and 8 core Mac Pro however but it does sport 32 gigs of memory and 4 300gig SSD's. ;)

  • @CentralNintendo1 PC = Persnol computer

    noob

  • @CentralNintendo1 other is a G5 power PC, currently all new macs are intel but the ppc is still very formidable just limited now as to software. Can easily get a 2.7ghz, 4gb ram, 250gb hd for about 350! good deals out there. I know im gettting a G5 just for looks xD and setting it up as a living room computer :p

  • @CentralNintendo1 The "other one" is a PowerMac G5, they last made those in 2006. Looking at his office it's clear he does some kind of print work, which is constantly demanding more and more power because things become higher and higher resolution and the newer software requires even more power. Also I'm guessing he got this because the newer versions of Photoshop and so on only run on Intel, as do the latest versions of OSX.

  • @CentralNintendo1 'PC' is just an obsolete marketing term invented by IBM in 1981. It simply means Personal Computer. A Mac is a personal computer. Mac = PC.

  • الدقيقه 5:10

  • What work will you be doing on that ?

  • like two fucking monkeys with no sense. Awesome mac! congrats!

  • That's a mini super computer! Is Skynet aware yet? Judgement day is coming!

    Jose Francisco Medeiros

    San Jose, California

  • this video makes me so fucking angry

  • @Magson012 hahah why?

  • @bigbirdtalent because i want a 12 core mac pro, and these fucking Indians got one instead of me

  • @Magson012

haha let it all out man… let it all out…

  • and if he lost his balance and stepped on the screen........

  • its a black version of lenard of the big bang theroy

  • good lord

  • i call this, like waste money :D

  • @guillo754 don't hate because you are broke. If the guy can buy a high end machine let him enjoy. No reason to be a broke hater.

  • @guillo754 no its not its a work station dont be jelous cuz u cant afford one

  • Cool man !!! Top ! :)))

  • 3) I'm sorry, but I've never seen a pretty PC. This Mac Pro is beautiful, and the displays match the tower and keyboard and mouse and trackpad. You're right - you can build one cheaper. I can buy a Kia, put a Ferrari engine and transmission in it, and rebuild the suspension and steering column. And it'll go fast and do what I want. But you know what? It'll still look like a damn Kia. If I'm spending more than $2,000 on a computer, it better look good.

  • @foxstumblesnorth Sorry that's the stupidest thing i've ever seen. You can build a PC cheaper AND better, if win7 is crappy, put a Mac OS. If you never saw a pretty pc, that is because you didn't looked for it, there are thousands of PC cases to choose from. Macs have the advantage of being neutral so or you love it or you find it irrelevant, most PC cases aren't neutral so or you hate it or you love it, but when i build a computer, is to suit my taste, not other people taste.

  • 2) Yes, you can price out a system that is close to $20,000 (if you reeeally need 2 27" LED monitors, 4 solid state internal drives, a RAID card AND a fibre channel card). You also get a system designed to work flawlessly with itself and an intuitive OS to run it.

A PC computer that is built with various components is a Frankenstein machine governed by a crappy OS. Say all you want about Apple or it's pricing structures, you don't hear many Mac owners bitching about their machines not working.

  • 1) Getting PC and Mac users to agree on anything is about as likely as Republicans and Democrats to set aside their differences and hold hands and sing together. Yes, you can build a fast PC or Mac. When you're talking about 12-Core computer that is capable of up to 64GB of RAM, the overall price becomes irrelevant. Unless you work for Pixar or you are going to run a small country on one computer, you will never need the kind of computing power that this (or a similar PC) is capable of.

  • That is a large dent in the corner of a 6,000$ box...

  • You recorded this video with an iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad 2???

  • now we can play terrorist plans 12 times as fast

  • if u have a computer this god damn fast, then y am i on hold with u on customer support for hours at a time?????

  • let me guesss! ur a graphic designer! i saw a huge printer back there :P had the same to my old work :P

  • someone gots some money

  • 7:00 "i need to slap yo ass!" haha

  • Holy God. Wow now that is a PC. looking at buying one this week. This is a big boy toy man.. Thanks for the vid.

  • @archiscale

my friend this is no longer a PC, it is new type of computer, the world's most advanced, fastest computer in the world, and now this computer is not a PC but it is called, a MAC

  • @IZ897

PC = Personal Computer, it doesn't mean you have to have anything by Microsoft on it.

I use Ubuntu so I'm not a fanboy of anything :D

  • @IZ897 its funny cause you can build a faster pc...macs arent the fastest in the world because you dont have all the choices in the world. the cpu and motherboard and ram and everything in a mac is available to pc users plus all the other parts made. so if you can make a 12 core mac...you can make a 12 core pc...and it will be cheaper and better.

  • @megamindstorm101

nobody ever went past 12 cores, in just one computer, think u can do that?

  • @IZ897 nobody said past 12 cores sir. better = more options. you can make a computer with 2 6 core 990x cpu's and that is better than the 2 6 cores that apple has to offer. also the sandybridge 2600k while its only quad core they outperform old lga 1366 6 core cpus.

also something I meant was that you could build the 12 core PC before you could build the 12 core mac because pc always gets parts before apple (other than thunderbolt because that was one of the very rare things apple/intel invent

  • @megamindstorm101

oh wait, u mean all other computers connected? well that's not what i mean

  • @IZ897 what? im not talking about connecting any computers. I am saying before apple ever introduced dual 6 cores in 1 system a PC user was able to do the same thing. In fact the day the 6 core cpu was released a pc user could build a 12 core pc. with apple however you have to wait a very long time. Also apple only has a couple choices for CPUs if you actually go to a computer site like newegg you will find TONS of options for cpu, some of which are faster than the ones found in macs.

  • @megamindstorm101

    but it's bloody hard

  • @megamindstorm10 pt1. The people building faster PCs than the 12-core Mac Pro are doing it under a company's bill.

    When building a 12-core system you have to take the extra cost of a dual CPU motherboard ($270), Two Xeon's X5650($2,006), 6GB workstation RAM(about $75), a 5770 1GB ($110), a 1TB drive ($90), a nice case with good airflow ($600), efficient PSU($240), Slim DVD drive ($90) heat sync fans($120), Windows Ultimate ($320), did I forget anything? Total = $3,921.

  • @AreMacsOverpriced 1. idk what you mean "under a company's bill" im talking about what I could do if I just went and got one,

    2. case for 600$ lol all you need is a case with E-atx support I have one of the most expensive cases you can get and it was only 300$ you can get 60$ for 1.5tb hdds, you dont need 120$ for heatsinks, windows isnt 320$,

upgrading PCs are paintless as well.

oh no vs other companies indeed they are competative I am refering to home builders as myself

    (read part 2)

  • @megamindstorm101 Work stations are something many consumers invest in. Mainly businesses buy workstations.

    2. "All you need" never = what you get in a higher end OEM system. You're not going to use the stock fans, what the hell? The stock fans are pathetic for consumer CPUs. Windows Professional is $320, which has features professionals need.

    Cables everywhere, not painless.

Again, home builders don't turn to Xeons often so the argument that you can build a system is really moot.

  • @AreMacsOverpriced dude im not saying everyone in the world builds systems with xeons that are better ect ect ect, I am saying if I were to go right now and build one myself it would be cheaper, and OEM windows 7 pro is 140$ not 320 from newegg ... sooo non oem = 250$ still not 320...

im not saying use stock cpu cooler but what I am saying is you dont need to spend 80$ per cooler they have great 26$ coolers that will work fine with no overclock.

its called cable management bro look into it.

  • @megamindstorm101 Yes, but the way you talk about these work stations is like how most people talk about i7's and such. Depending on what you do on the system governs your price. Most wouldn't even keep the stock fans from i7's and i5's. I got $320 straight from Windows(.)com and I meant Windows Ultimate, not professional.

Xeons are meant to be left on for long periods of time and they over clock themselves. And they were $60 heatsinks.

Most high-end OEM workstations are cable-less.

  • @AreMacsOverpriced well in my eyes if I am a consumer working at home and this is my only computer I would just go and build it myself. (and by overclock themself i dont want to sound ignorant but is that like turbo boost (i dont keep up with xeons much) in which case it really isnt a massive noticeable overclock and it will still show up in any program as stock clocks) and even so heatsinks are cheap.

you can get deals on individual parts when you build yourself you cant get a deal on a mac.

  • @megamindstorm101 pt 2. Cheaper than a Mac Pro, right? Well that's when you consider the benefits of a custom made case and Logic board. Upgrading a Mac Pro is, for the most part, a painless, too-less procedure. All the wires of the system are hidden or none existent. The high-end nature of the workstation results in a high-end price. In addition, the Mac Pro is highly competitive with other OEM work stations.

  • @AreMacsOverpriced I am not reffering to buisnesses that buy macs and such I am reffering to home users that feel the need to pay for these kinds of products, WHen I build one myself I can easily build something better faster and cheaper than a mac pro, Obviously if I were to own a company with 200 computers I would consider other options.

  • @megamindstorm101 A company doesn't necessarily need 200 computers. Businesses can just be 2 people in an office.

  • @IZ897 If you say that Mac is new, have you've been living under a rock the latest years of computing?

    And they are not advanced

  • @ThePhotory

ur just a bitch hating on mac and u just dont want to switch to that kind of a computer yet, becuz ur a bitch like that

  • @IZ897 ...wait what?

To me it seems like your the one who's a bitch

I already have a Mac, and a Windows computer

I also have Windows on my Mac, and Mac OS X on my Mac.

If your a Mac fanboy that dont even know that a Mac is a PC and was created before Windows I got bad news for you

  • @ThePhotory

dude...it's called a metaphor, u learn about it if u go to school

  • @IZ897 A metaphor makes sense not just gibberish and bad spelling.

  • @IZ897 Actually its called a Mac* But yes, I agree :)

  • @SourNaik

    :)

  • @IZ897 you can hae a far more powerfull pc for the same price. you should wonder why professionals outside of design and movie edditing almost never use macs. i for instance work in the field of bioinformatics and i never saw any mac in any lab beside some macbooks for presentations and office stuff.

  • @khosrow

i forgot to mension "one of the fastest".......geez 1 simple mistake can attract that many replies

  • @IZ897 heh well its got processing power but for gamers we stick to pc's for our graphics

  • @IZ897 P.C stands for Personal Computer. Your Macintosh is your personal computer. Your Linux is your personal computer, etc.

  • @duderme

    i know i get it

  • @IZ897 Mac's are Not the fastest computers in the world. I have dual intel Xeon E7-4870 on a EVGA SR-2 motherboard. 2 Nvidia Teslas. Both Xeon processors have 10 cores each and both are running at 4 ghz. Both are on liquid cooling. Also have 64 GB of RAM at 2133.

  • @unicyclefinatic

in know i meant to say one of the fastest... and DANG YOU MUST HAVE LIKE A LOT OF MONEY

  • @IZ897 The total build was a little over 15 grand. My job pays a lot im a computer engineer so i run servers and build PC's for a living.

  • @unicyclefinatic

    ok cool!

  • @unicyclefinatic but u don't realize this computer is over 1 year old so this is 1 year old technology the mac pros are due for an update any time nbow with sandy bridge e's for up to 16 cores

  • @IZ897

Typical mac Fanboy: Herp derp, the more cores the better!

PC fanboy: At what ghz do they run?

    Mac fanboy: A what?

PC fanboy: what do you plan to do that requires 12 cpu's?

Mac fanboy: hardcore tumblr and facebook

PC fanboy: what about the Graphics card? Motherboard? PSU? RAM? Heat sink?

    Mac fanboy: SPEAK ENGLISH

  • @DrDeso1

    dude...im not a fanboy...shut up...oh ya and i understand all that fine

  • @DrDeso1 Wow, you know some basic computer parts, good for you!

  • @tauntauntots problem is that most mac fanboys don't and are therefore easily scammed

  • @DrDeso1 Not all true, Apple makes it so people don't need to know much, but there are apple owners who do. PC owners may know more but thats because they often upgrade whenever they see a sale on new parts, so they spend a lot of time opening there PCs and researching.

  • @tauntauntots I've done side by side comparisons, Apple doesn't give all too good of hardware in their computers for the price. I don't feel like anyone should pay more than $1000 on a computer when they can get better specs for one at $500

example: Macbook Air: $1000, only 2GB of RAM, only upgradable to 4GB total

4GB are supposed to be standard on a computer with room for another 4GB, even if the MBair is supposed to be light weight, it shouldn't be $1000 for just that

  • @DrDeso1 Yes I see your point, however you have to take into account that people just want a mac. That's why apple has done so well, because people just want it. Whether it's because they look cool, or because they want to run a certain application, people will always want it. I took a music tech class in high school a while back, before that point all I knew was windows. We used Mac in that class and ever since then I never looked back. I don't know if I make any sense, but people just want it.

  • @tauntauntots they want it because it looks shiny and it is popular, and Apple makes a good image with all it's chromish products, but the hardware in each Apple computer is really trashy for what they sell it for. You'd be better off buying a PC and you would save money and have a really powerful computer

  • @DrDeso1 The mac I fell in love with was faded, cracked, and ducted tape, no "shininess" about it. About them being more popular, well, no there technically not. Windows sells more PCs then Apple sells Macs so how can they be more popular? Maybe some people would pay more for a good looking computer than settle for something that looks lesser. As for power, my tiny intel core duo has pulled off anything I throw at it, and has been for under 3 years.

  • @tauntauntots so minor downloads, browser games, and blogging counts as "anything you throw at it"?

Macs are pretty worthless yet people think they are powerful because of how little they do with the computer due to all the incompatibility with games and large programs that would lag a PC. You can buy incredibly powerful ultrabooks for $500, yet Macbook Airs (with half the specs) cost $1000

compare hardware, see what you find. Apple is really crummy

    lrn2computer

  • @DrDeso1 So now you have a standard template of a mac users tasks? funny, since I don't blog and I don't recall playing one browser game on my mac since I got it. We can sit here all day playing battleship, in the end I'll still love Mac and you won't so why continue? Maybe this is how you get off, verbally bashing any and all mac users. It wouldn't be the first time I've encountered your type, in fact his only arguments were the same as yours, both typically narrow and short.

  • @tauntauntots so what have you "thrown at it" that it can handle so well?

  • @DrDeso1 Well that's a bit personal, if you wan't to find out what people do with there life you should probably obtain some friends.

  • @tauntauntots I'm not trying to be rude, I want to argue facts. What do you run on your computer that such minimum specs can handle so well?

  • @DrDeso1 "Oh man, I got a PC for $500 that can play WoW much better than a guy who spent $1000 on a herpy derpy mac!" good for you, now you can save the other $500 for when it craps out, or gets virus galore and you must deal with microsoft's customer service! See that's a fact, telling you what I do is not a fact, at all. Look, if PC fits your lifestyle, good for you! Mac fits my lifestyle so whether I compress 64bit multichannel sockets, or check email, its really none of your business is it?

  • @tauntauntots I haven't got a virus since I got Norton back in October, and yes, $500 PC's can run anything better than a Mac can if the right parts are chosen (however, a $1000 PC is probably the best you can get to handle anything, which is the same price they sell crappy macbook airs for)

A computer to simply check emails isn't worth $1000

  • @DrDeso1 It seems you really hate the macbook airs don't you? so don't get one. easy. I however think the MBair is great for travelers or for field use. Look dude I'm getting tired of this narrow minded conversation can we come to some understanding or something? this has already gone on for two pages and I still fail to see your point.

  • you cant have two cpu in one computer and i dout that it even has a triple core in it

  • @bo1063 Actually yes you can... now i don't like mac i just stumbled upon this video to read your dumb comment go learn about computers and stop hating on YouTube

  • @bo1063

well dude, this is a mac, not your average pc, how about u buy one open it, and count it for yourself?

  • did it all come together? and how much?

  • @stub223

u can customize it, in fact, u hav to, so if u put all the accesories, the best stuff, then it goes to 20 grand

  • @IZ897 If You fully uprgrade the server version its 50 grand

  • @hellfire780

    oh heck!

  • @IZ897 Well, If you buy the base model 2.93ghz 12 cores mac pro on apple's website and buy everything else from other stores like 64gb of ram, 12TB of internal storage, 1 nVidia quadro 4000 card, a blu ray internal drive, you can have all of this for only 9700$.

  • @bouchandre

aww that is cooler than the mac itself

  • @IZ897 yeah, I just bought a mac pro and I can't wait to get it and boost it up!

  • @bouchandre

u probably worked really hard for that :D
