Wait, was that her "kiss" he gave back to her when she left? (I don't remember that from the novel, but then it's been a long time since I last read it.)
Gawd, I hate how every child in Neverland had a mother except Peter, yet he was the one needing and longing for one the most (even if he desperately claimed he didn't.) There _really_ should be a live action movie adaptation casting the light on that for real. Too bad the 2003 adaptation from P.J. Hogan did not even though it originally intented to. :S
What I wouldn't give for this chapter to be acted by CHILDREN. And especially Peter's story about his mother acterd by a little boy. If anyone knows of a recorded and published school play, radio adaptation or an audio book that has it so and the acting is also good, please let me know.
Although this woman is a terrific actor, she is a grown woman and I can not use her voice over in a fan video. It would sound just ridiculous.
i have this version on video!!! and last year i saw Rock of Ages and the guy who plays Hook in this was in it playing a pain in the ass german! it was hysterical
Cathy Rigby is a brilliant actress and gymnast, and a very good singer, but Mary Martin still owns the role. They both bring such out different parts of Peter. I like how Cathy Rigby portrays the little boy in him, because in some ways that is the essence of Peter Pan.
This is Cathy Rigby. The character of Peter Pan, the boy who refuses to grow up, is ironically always played by adult females. (I am only referring to the Broadway musical, of course.) It is because women are generally smaller than men. It's a very demanding role, which is most likely why they don't cast children for this particular part.
Who is playing peter pan? I know its a lady..but she looks a little too old. This is great graphics. Was this done at the Seattle Children's Theater? The Stage Set-up looks similar.
I was in a production of "Peter Pan" back in 2006 (I played one of Hook's pirates), listening to this song/scene backstage while waiting for my cue was one of the most memorable moments of that experience. 2 years later, this song has special meaning to me, since I kinda long for those old days again.
