  • is it actually avaliable?

  • Would love to see the completed documentary. Looks great.

  • hello...

how is the progress on this film? is it complete?

    where can i buy it?

  • Hi, is the film still ready! Were could I buy the whole documentary report? Regards, Stefan Lob from schlaggitarren.de

  • hello chaps, how's it going? nearly a year since my last message, we're all waiting out here!

  • Nice documentary! but DJango does not mean "I awake" in the gypsy language... I know that's what was written in a biography book about django, but I think that was a case of a gypsy having a little bit of fun with the biographer hahaha... I have many gypsy friends who speak different dialects, and everyone says that django doesn't have a particular meaning... if anything it probably comes from his real name "Jean" becoming "Django"

  • When will the film be out?

  • OMG that' TIti's caravan !

  • music is from alfred Moerman

  • *******

  • Gypsy Jazz is AMAZINGGGGGG

  • it looking great so far chaps. while you're at it, could you search for the other two tracks filmed at the hot club j'attendrai sessions? now that would be something! cheers good luck

  • Hello, thank you very much for your encouraging comment...

What tracks are you talking about?

     Take care,

    M

  • well, another two tracks were filmed along with 'j'attendai' according to charles delaunay..don't know what they were but i'd love to see them. all the best x

  • @apolue One of them is claimed to be "Honeysuckle Rose".

  • @TeddyDupont hello, sorry, didn't see the message. why didn't they ask grapelli in that wonderful ' lifetime in jazz' doc. they must have i suppose. you wouldn't forget the holy grail.

'honeysuckle rose' huh? one of the few i can do, that's a stoke of luck. he'd have done it completely different of course, a classic . maybe it's out there. and who knows? maybe someone said" tell that lighting man to stop pissing about and just switch them on, from the beginning,"

    all the best

  • @apolue Grappelli was once asked about the "Le Jazz Hot" session and he said he did not remember it at all. - I totally agree about the lighting. Have you noticed how Django is sitting in a different position in the close-up shots?

  • Hartwarming!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I am so in love with this. It is going to be the most wonderful film. . please keep me posted as to how it is going and when it is released. I can't wait till 2010!!!!

  • hi! The only thing I would say is that you need to be a bit careful in terms of copyright as you use a lot of footage from a number of sources. Other than that I'm really looking forward to the documentary! well done

  • Hello, this is only a teaser, and we have no intention of stealing any of this footage. We shall actually buy them as soon as the movie is fully financed... It is just for work purposes. Thanks for your concern...

  • Djaqngo, like me was a Sinti Gypsy, descended from the Khans of mongolia (the remnents of the his army left in Russia and the now Chec Republic. Not a Manouche.

That said, it is a great vid and thanks for posting.

  • Vive Django!!!
