  • There needs to be an extremely tight seal with no air leakage in order to maintain the level of vacuum with an object such as a vacuum check valve that Piab supplies. If there is some leakage, the vacuum pump must supply enough scfm of vacuum flow to equal or exceed the amount of air leakage to maintain a certain set vacuum level. Piab also supplies a product called Vacustat that automatically performs that function of constant maintenance of vacuum level.

  • If you need to draw a vacuum (to hold something to a vacuum bed or something) and you want to maintain the vacuum after the air has been evacuated and no air is allowed back in by the vacuum bed, do you still need to keep air flowing through, or can you stop the air flowing, will the vacuum still be maintained?

  • Very good product!
