@Theb0x Both developers from Capcom and SNK have expressed a desire to do a CvS3, so I'm sure its somewhat around the corner. This time around I'd like to see the SNK team do the development work just so we get a return to 2d sprites (just for nostalgia purposes).

Personally, I just like the nostalgia factor. Also, the SF4 era models are just butt fuckin ugly. Do you think they would just re-use the old models yet again in this era? Please...I prefer current games that use the HD-2D sprites. The KoF13 models are gorgeous. If they re-did the whole CvS roster with that type of design it would be great.

KoF13 is looking really good at the moment, so I'd imagine SNK has got their shit together for this recent project. Also considering Capcom has SFxT and UMvC3 to support for a couple more years and a new Darkstalkers game to produce, I'd imagine they'd look for help for another crossover.

Normally I lost interest in this game awhile back, too many issues (Unbalanced Grooves, only 10% of roster is tournament worthy, hell I think daigo lost interest for similar reasons). But this was just amazing. Using kim of all characters, I saw shades of garou MOW in here.

As a serious CvS2 player, if you lost interest because of those reasons, I feel sorry for you. The game has 48 characters... AT LEAST 20 of them are seriously tournament viable. As for grooves, again, there are 5 that are competitive.

A lot of people dropped CvS2 because of misconceptions with balance. It's just that CvS2 is hard, and people are lazy.

Oh come on...when you see nearly the exact same characters used by every single champion, Lazy becomes a mute subject (why become a master Athena player, when it's a thousand times easier just to pick Sagat). I'd actually be okay with the whole Roll Cancel trick if everyone were able to use it effectively. Dont' feel sorry for me, I like balanced fighters, you can deal with Vega battery poke all day and lose if that's what your into.

If the names Chari, Dari, Iyo, Buktooth, AO, Kisshi, Cross, Rai mean nothing to you (and they probably don't, if you were that shocked to see Eric Lee win with Kim), then I can see why you would think CvS2 doesn't have a large cast of viable characters, but you're really just wrong. And those were just players I was able to come up with off the top of my head.

And, BTW, I was actually known for being able to run through top Vega's with me mid-tier battery... so.... yeah

I've seen R4's here and there but the reason it doesn't win tournaments is you're at a health disadvantage and if you run into a bad matchup or one you don't know how to deal with you lose your entire team instead of just one character/ratio.

There's way more variety in CvS2 team wise than Marvel. A-Groove tends to win the most tournaments, but that doesn't mean other teams aren't just as good.

I kinda hate that Capcom is seeming to just cater to fans that have heard of Capcom/Namco and not fighting game fans, the games just dont seem as solid. A game where 20 of 48 characters are tourney worthy as apposed to 4 in a game of 56, (MVC2) should last longer.....but that aint the world we live in.

According the organizers of EVO the game won't make EVO this year because it's old (meaning they want new games like TvC and BB) and because it's on the PS2 (an old console).

Abandoning CvS2 because it's on the PS2 and ST/MvC2 because they are on the DC are awful decisions.
