@asphaltface234 Well, yeah it did do it's job, and the lead didn't sound bad, but the rhythm just sounded like it was coming out of a really cheap amp that you can buy for like 25 dollars. These aren't bad solid state amps but I'm just not a fan of the drive.

whats with all the whining!! this amp sounds fucking sweet and as other people have said we dont all have the cash to buy a proper stack so shut the fuck up and go bitch elsewhere! im considering getting this amp its more than suitable for my in house practice . anything marshall = Win
@MrTjgale haha what the hell...first of all there are plenty or normal combo amps that are are loud enough and sound a thousand times better then this goofy looking mini stack. unless you are a 8 yr old. I guess you can buy this
@theawesomejose lol your like 4 years older than me, in 4 years ill be just as good as u so it doesnt matter. xD im good for my age. and atleast i have proper spelling.
For the price of this thing, you can get a tube amp and a cheap 2x12. A 15 watt solid state head wqith a pair of 1x10 cabinets for 350 bucks? Come on, your paying for the name on the front. It's not like this thing has "marshall tone", it is a solid state marshall. It has the tone of a solid state amp, and the "frequency dependent damping" is just an EQ preset that can be achieved by turning knobs on any solid state amp. A blackheart killer ant is louder AND sound better, for cheaper.
ya that clean intro sucked nuts... maybe he just never plays clean stuff. all his dirty stuff was amazing. very tasty licks. but that intro made me want to punch some throats

i like how he says in beginning that it delivers power, but then the top cab is mic'd...obviously its not delivering enough power! idk. I just think if you want a small practice amp, get a small practice amp. Not a fake stack.
@DANnJORDAN yeah true think about it though thats when they were made proper hand wired and the only reason the people you mentioned used marshall is because thats all there was they didnt have much choice any amp after the jcm 800 is shit fact
Because Kerry King is a shit guitarist. Jimi Hendrix was good in the late 60's. The only reason he is still popular is because he is dead. Paul Gilbert uses Marshall?
Maybe occasionally. Paul is a fantastic guitarist by the way.
I'm not saying Marshall is a bad amp but there are better. Mesa, Orange, Soldano, Bogner, Hiwatt. These people use them because of Marshalls legacy. Why don't Steve Vai, Eddie VanHalen, Jim Root, Satch and others use them?
@dannyvawn maybe because them guitarist like the tone of other amps
who fucking cares what you think at least marshall are good amps who are you to judge them you try telling people who play marshall that they are shit and i have never heard of bonger and hiwatt look at how many people use marshalls to all the other amp companies
@dannyvawn Van Halen used a Marshall Plexi. Satch used a Peavey until he joined a band, now he uses a Marshall Jcm 800, he said mostly because the Peavey was too loud and the sound was too big, he did it because he's a fucking team player. If you want to go into the world of instrumental music, Yngwie Malmsteen uses a Marshall, Ace Frehley, Slash, Zakk Wylde. Is Marshall overrated? IMO Definitely. Is it a shit amp company? No.
Marshalls have a terrible clean. Their crunch is still the best on the planet though, imho. But the clean...ughh. I've tried and tried to record some decent clean tracks with mine, and I never could print anything worth keeping. It sounded just like the clean that this guy has. LOL!
god that riff pisses me of so much......any way im about to purchase this amp and how many watts is the amp if someone could answer asap that wuld be relly cool of u
I have the fender 65 deluxe reverb, and i use it mostley for blues. I'm thinking of getting a big marshall stack amp for a good rock and metal sound. I also have the boss me-70 multi-effects pedal, so i can get some good distortion, modulation, delay, and amp modeling sounds.
@mrguitarvertigo actually i am very good at guitar. and i understand that marshall amps were decent in their heyday of the late 60s and 70s. however if you could understand that the quality of Marshall amps has decreased over the years then you would understand that Marshall amps just aren't that what they used to be. this also applies to most Mexican Fender guitars and some new Gibson guitars. i'm not saying that all Marshall amps suck. just the ones that i play on have been of bad quality.
The MG heads sound much better through Celestion speakers rather than the MG speakers. I ran my micro stack head through my 1960 4x12 with G12T-75 speakers and the difference was night and day. I find that the stock speakers sound thin and trebly, and the Celestions give a fuller sound.
@p1chino I'm a bit Marshall obsessed. I found after trying a lot the MG range, they just don't add up to normal Marshall Amps. They sound cheap, tacky and the overdrive is just messy. I dislike all MG Models. Zakk Wyldes is probably the best out of them all. But hey if you're on a budget then the MG range is right up your street. The only reason i'm "not" is because i'm in a band and needed more power than these supply. Hope that helps mate :)
tube amps are driven by old school tube technology. some argue that they sound better. Your line 6 is a solid state amp. no tubes used for power. on your solid state, transistors are used in place of vacuum tubes. Stacks come in both varieties, the head connects via 1/4" speaker cable to the cabinets.
i like tube amps more. and as far as mids go, i have em high, bass at about 11 o clock, treble at about 1 oclock, presence about midway, and gain pretty low, just play really loud. my tone sounds like angus youngs in his earlier days in the 70s or jimmy pages. man that clean intro annoys the shit outta me just cause he doesnt keep in on tempo, sounds like he speeds up at the end
i like to turn the mids down on eq because it always makes me think of crappy speakers what i like is glass shattering treble on the destortion with floor rumbling bass thats what i want to me mids sounds like 80s or a am radios little 1inch speaker bottom line mids suck
MUST HAVE!!!!!

ok i have no idea how stacks work
i play a line 6 30 watt amp and have always used a tube amp (im guessing a tube amp is just a rectangle one)
how do stacks work?
how does the head get connected to the speaker and how does that work?

@haydenisace
tube amps are driven by old school tube technology. some argue that they sound better. Your line 6 is a solid state amp. no tubes used for power. on your solid state, transistors are used in place of vacuum tubes. Stacks come in both varieties, the head connects via 1/4" speaker cable to the cabinets.

i like tube amps more. and as far as mids go, i have em high, bass at about 11 o clock, treble at about 1 oclock, presence about midway, and gain pretty low, just play really loud. my tone sounds like angus youngs in his earlier days in the 70s or jimmy pages. man that clean intro annoys the shit outta me just cause he doesnt keep in on tempo, sounds like he speeds up at the end

i believe mids suck lol
i like to turn the mids down on eq because it always makes me think of crappy speakers what i like is glass shattering treble on the destortion with floor rumbling bass thats what i want to me mids sounds like 80s or a am radios little 1inch speaker bottom line mids suck
