It never officially made it to number one, because people hated it so much they tried to prevent it, eventually it made it to number 2...a funny thing here is that the week it was released there was no number one in the charts! Then on the day of the 25th anniversary, the sex pistols did a gig on a boat on the river Thames that went past the Queen...needless to say they got busted by the cops haha.
