That mom is a total snatch at the beginning...... but the actress that plays her is fantastic! Nice story, well made movie. I even liked the "Director's annotations" (which no one has commented on). They were interesting little facts.
This is one of the most beautiful short films I've seen. It so poignantly encapsulates the problems facing gays in garnering acceptance from loved ones and society in modern times. It is well acted with convincing characters and well-written dialogue. A definite 5 star effort!

Not to long ago my love and I flew to Macon Ga. to meet his parents. I was sooooooooo nervous. I could have killed him when he left me alone with his mother. She did not say anything for about a moment or two that seemed like an eternity. Then she asked, "do you love him" I said yes, with all my heart. She then simply said "thats good and I love you for bringing happiness to my boy"

I scared the hell out of my mother,when I was living with my lover and my mother asked me to come to Christmas I said I am only coming with him,and If everyone isn't nice,she will never see me again,and they were all on there best behaviour.Thanks for the posting.My favorite line was when he was talking to his lover,saying he was a total mess before he met him.Having a gay son is the least of anyone's problems.
That was a beautiful, movie to make one feel, what it's like to be gay, and in love! No matter what others think, just believe in yourself and life will be more fullfilling! Having parents stand in your way, makes no sense! Eventually, they will come around!
I'm so sorry to everyone who is having a hard time with their parents. It makes me thankful that my parents are so loving, kind, caring and unprejudiced. A couple of my friends came out to my parents. My dad gave them a big hug and my mum made them part of the family. I hope that one day you will all find love and peace with your families. Love on Earth is short-let's not waste it. Who cares who we spend our lives with as long as they are over the age of concent!!

It hurts my heart to think that any parent could have such a problem with someone loving their child. Love is beautiful and anyone who has it was lucky to have found it. Very good job on telling an honest and hearfelt story.
agreed... it's very sad, but you look at society today, not only do parents have problems with their children being in love (even in a straight couple it's common), but society makes it impossible for love to thrive accordingly.
If they can't deal with you, that's THEIR problem, not your's. You are perfect the way you are. There are a lot of bigots out there disguised as Christians. You have lots of company. Don't ever forget that. They worry about us destroying the "sanctity of marriage" while they're doing a pretty good job of that themselves.

How anyone can believe we choose this? A similar event took place in my life last year and I took my partner to a hotel where we stayed until the funeral of my father was held. When we left the cemetery we held hands and went back to our home. We were hurt, but we are stronger in our commitment to love each other and to unconditionally accept and love each person in our lives.

that was really nice. excellent acting, and some good framing and editing as well. the script could have been fleshed out a teeny bit more in places, it kinda jumps over some stuff, but then again thats your discretion.
this is just awesome entertainment... produced, directed and acted alot better than MANY MANY other gay themed movies.
