I wish this car came with a manual gearbox. The DSG is great, but it isn't that exciting i think. A manual gearbox suits a car like the Ibiza Cupra best.

I did trade in a 08 Leon Fr for a Boca without even test driving one. Had a drive in the Fr which was good, but the Boca is a 100 times better. Trust me.

im really struggling to buy one of these bad boys, they are stupid fast for a 1.4, love the looks, a vast improvement on the ibiza of old which i thought looked a real girls motor, test drove the FR, not sure about the gear box, but DSG across the whole range...should i trade in my old Leon FR 05'?...answers on a post card

Because it has a double clutch, the gearbox will shift from clutch to clutch. One clutch for the 1,3,5 for example and the other for 2,4. It's shifting really fast and it's automatic. You only have a gas and braking pedal

my dad has the bocanegra my mates think its awsome and every time he gives it a blast theres always someone watchin also w blasted off sum guy is a leon fr coz he was showing off infront of his bird wot pple dnt realsise is its only a 1.4 were as people say ohha ford st wud beat tht and there ryt coz thts a 2.0 litre durrrr but the boca is far better coz its cheaper on insurance lol

get the ibiza mate. The engine is manufactured by VW and won best engine of the year. Will be durable and if remapped should get impressive figures. Plus its not a renault so all electrics will actually work

I got my seat ibiza reference pack(ruby red colour) a week ago. I could not afford the bocanegra! BUT the bocanegra comes with a 1400 c.c. engine and 150 or 180 ps.... come on...it looks cool...but this engine will not last long!

@DannyPullon a compressor is a supercharger... TSI means Twincharged Stratified Injection Wich sorth of means it uses few fuel and a lot of air... to make it economical.

I booked for a FR. Cupra and Bocanegra has same engine, same DSG, same electronic equipment but 3,400 euro more than FR! With 250 euro we can buy a new software for the 30 hp....

The Bocanegra and Cupra engine is the same ... it is a 1.4 Twin Turbo ...

Im sorry to disagree but the engine in the new Ibiza FR, Cupra and Bocanegra all share the same twin charged (Turbo and Supercharged) engine. The FR produces 150PS alongside the CUPRA and Bocanegra which produce 180PS.

Please make sure you read articles and get your knowledge from SEAT rather than guessing and misleading others.

Think to yourself for one minute, why would a 1.4 engine producing 180bhp, need 2 turbo's? Twinturbos are only needed when you have a really big turbo and need a smaller one to get the big one going, found on engines with 300bhp +. The engine in the FR, Cupra and Bocanegra is the same as the ones found across the VAG range, 1.4 turbo and super charged
