  • XD

  • I love this song sooo much! =')

  • this is my fifth time listening & looking at this pic & i didn't even notice the crab near mario before

  • id love to see this remastered on the 3ds :(

  • This music makes me want my mind to explore its deepest thoughts and feelings.

  • It's like I'm 13 all over again

  • add repeat before the .com of any video to not have to play this video again while your doing your homework. :)

  • Music doesn't need lyrics for it to speak to you.

  • Water levels are calming, soothing and freaking annoying!

  • did I just hear hints of Dire Docks in there???

  • At least, both, Mario 64 AND Sunshine were great games.

  • Best f***ing Mario game of all time, full stop. Sunshine A-FOREVER!!!

  • I hope i dont get criticized for saying this but Sunshine is my favorite 3D Mario game. I just have so much memories with it, love the soundtrack, the creativity of the levels. I just love it

  • the most H2O looking water in any Videogame ever!!

  • I don't see why so many people say "64 was better! This game was stupid because of water!" Well seriously, I thought it added something 64 didn't have. Besides Pianta Village was just f__king awesome.

  • PAPER MARIO 64 IS THE BEST MARIO GAME EVER MADE!

  • @commentmutant U MAD BRO?

  • @HectorLocoful MAD BECAUSE PAPER MARIO 64 IS THE BEST MARIO GAME?? no.

  • @commentmutant It's nice, but I prefer Super Mario 64, Sunshine and Galaxy.

  • @christbl58 Sunshine is horrible, and galaxy is too far ahead of where we are. you just went past game cube haha

  • @commentmutant Eh, in your opinion. Besides, why would you come to a video about Sunshine just to mock it? It makes you look like a troll/fanboy.

  • @christbl58 Man you are definitely a slow one. Ill leave it at this, you're too gullible for me..

  • @commentmutant Sorry, I naturally assume everyone on Youtube is a moron. Guess that backfired a tad.

  • @christbl58 Lets start over. Its not that I disliked this game, I felt robbed after waiting for a good Mario game on gamecube. I wanted something within the lines of the original past entries. I didn't like the island aesthetics, or the characters. Paper Mario came out and made me a happy guy. I still play Paper mario to this day haha.

  • Aaaaaah, wateeeer!

  • man i loved the fuck out of this game, at first i thought the water thing was stupid for sacrificing the pure running and jumping of sm64 but i grew to love the unique gameplay and tropical environments

  • this music makes the world a better place

  • @breasthound

    definitely

  • im going with darky in saying this is my least favorite 3d mario games, but it doesnt make it a bad game, this game was awesome, but the others were a little better

  • I don't understand why people hate this game so much. I think it's better than SM64 (please don't hurt me, fans)

  • I had to send my Wii in for repair last year. While it was away, I thought it would be a good time to play Mario Sunshine, since I never finished it back in 2002. I forgot all about this song. It was such a lovely surprise to re-discover it on the Noki Bay level.

It will never be as good as Mario 64 but Sunshine is still a great game

  • where can i get this song!!

  • where can u download these songs!!!

  • quite a discussion boys

  • It's amusing to see people call this game gimmicky but praise the Wii.

This is a superb game. It fine-tuned the physics of Mario 64, presented an original, entertaining and well-executed idea, featured amazing level design (and music, of course) and had a great world to explore, and that is far more than you can say about Galaxy, which was linearity to the extreme.

  • What probably turned me off to Sunshine was the 240 Blue coins. It was a decent game; had the collect-a-thon been replaced by something like...the comet missions in Galaxy 1&2, perhaps the game wouldn't be as ill remembered in the minds of gamers.

  • @Zachary1869 You act as though the blue coins were required in any way.

  • @RedtheGhost If you wanted to 100% complete the game, then yes, they were. While you say that Galaxy was far too linear, I don't think that it was that bad. Sure, most of the levels required the "Point A to Point B" style of gameplay, but that is what people remember about the Mario series.

I agree with you on all the highlights on Sunshine, and believe that every game has both its highs and lows as 64, Sunshine, and Galaxy(s) all do.

  • @Zachary1869 Linearity was the basis of Mario in the beginning, yes, but it seems so much more limited when applied to the third dimension.

  • @RedtheGhost (I really don't want this to turn nasty, but rather keep it at a discussion type of conversation.) While it does limit the exploration factor, at times it can help. Sure it was fun to explore all 7-10 main worlds of Sunshine, but it left me wanting more. That was remedied by Galaxy. Ironicly, some levels didn't feel as big. Yet, those levels were still fun to play through, and I surely enjoyed them. Linearity in a Mario game needs to be there then exploration in that order.

  • @Zachary1869 No no, I am capable of keeping a level head in a harmless conversation. I just felt the opposite way; Galaxy left me wanting more because the levels were large and seemed so open with their space them, but there was little to actually do. And goodness, if by some possible chance you got lost, they conveniently placed Toad there to tell you which way was forward. >w>

  • @RedtheGhost True, at times it did feel condescending. But going back to wanting more: didn't you feel that the Corona Mountain stage was short? It was just platforms, mudboat, cloud-jumping and then you were at bowser. At least in Galaxy, they made it feel like a full fledged level getting to bowser, even though the final fight was a cakewalk. That's one of the things that I think they should've worked on more; that, or add some enemies during the road up the volcano.

  • @Zachary1869 Yeah, I'm not saying it was flawless. That's a good point. Also, the Sunshine boss was obviously silly, but I liked it anyway. The final fight always seems to be a cakewalk. That's just a Mario trademark, I guess. xD

  • @RedtheGhost Well, the one in SM64 was a bit challenging on both the thumb and timing. Even today, 10 years after I've 100% the game twice, I still have trouble launching bowser at the precise moment.

  • @Zachary1869 Oh, true. Well, I think I played too much Mario Party, so the only challenge on the thumb was getting the stick to work properly.

  • @RedtheGhost I don't think I played enough! But then again, when played on the Wii with a GC controller, the thumb gets a much needed buffer.

Off topic, what was your personal "Secret of..." level? Mine had to be the 2nd one in Bianco Hills, the Dirty Lake mission.

  • @Zachary1869 Honestly I don't remember which is which, it's been quite some time since I've played. This discussion convinced me to get another copy, but the one I got from Gamestop didn't work. =.= Not sure where I put the receipt either. Blah.

  • @RedtheGhost Maybe one of your friends has a copy you can borrow?

  • @Zachary1869 Ha. I'm 18, don't live around any of my friends at the moment.

  • In the Mario formula, this game is just as good as the rest. I think what people want to say is that it clearly isn't as groundbreaking as most of the greats in the series are identified for. It's still a good game. It's still fun. I never got to beat it, but I never had a GameCube.

  • This music makes me wanna go swimming. <3

  • such a beautiful and relaxing song^_^

  • I don't remember that many tunes from this game and I have forgotten about this one. It feels very fun and peaceful. Thanks for reminding me Supra lol.

  • Such good memories from this game =,) This will always be my favorite game for the GameCube. GameCube OWNS!!!

  • That's weird, I actually beat Super Mario Sunshine but I don't remember this tune.

  • @AmadeusKing It's in the last level from Noki Bay =)

  • @superluigi132 Last Level? That explains it.

I only beat the 7 levels for each world needed to beat Super Mario Sunshine. I didn't do the additional levels.

No wonder I don't remember the song.

  • @AmadeusKing Me too, it's vaguely familiar sounding. I just can't remember the level where you see this... Noki bay underwater..?

  • Sunshine is in fact one of my favorite Mario games. It's weird and different, but that's a lot of why I love it. I collected every last Shinesprite save for like 3.

  • I really don't know why people don't like this mario. was the best one to me. you give the guy some innovative items to use, and give other characters some speech and all you get is hate hate. only part i didn't like about this game was blue coins, other than that, the game is great. fav mario game.

  • It might not be the best 3D Mario, but it's still a damn good game.

  • Probably the worst out of the 3D mario platformers(still really good though).

One thing the other games could learn from Sunshine though, is it's difficulty. Man, this game was damn hard.

  • This is a top contender for my favorite Mario game. Mario 64 and Paper Mario: TYD are both up there.

  • How can something be so relaxing? Nintendo shouldn't even bother with the Vitality Sensor, they should just let us listen to this theme when we put the disc in.

  • this is an amazing game......

  • This > Super Mario Galaxy I and II Combined

    Do your worst, fanboys.

  • @CinemaZebra now you're just lying to yourself

  • @charger619c You call that your worst?

  • @CinemaZebra no. those are simply facts that i stated

  • @charger619c Actually I believe it says in some encyclopedias that Super Mario Sunshine is a masterpiece and both Super Mario Galaxies are criminally overrated.

  • @CinemaZebra I enjoy Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2, but you're more than right. This game was amazing in every way. Just like Mario 64. Pure, unadulterated fun.

  • @CinemaZebra Super Mario Galaxy 2 > Super Mario Sunshine with twice as many levels.

  • @CinemaZebra ... I can't really take that seriously. You seem more like a troll than anybody else I've seen saying this game is the best up to this point. You are looking for an argument.

  • I loved this game. This track is just so relaxing, and definitely just feels perfect for these hot summer days.

  • by far the worst mario game ever made. good music though, as usual

  • @charger619c I thought Hotel Mario was the worst one.

  • @Fransinn3 i've never even heard of that one. I'm sure there are some horrible ones, but this is the worst of the main series

  • @charger619c One of the best of the main series, come the fuck on.

  • @Blackbarticus If by best you mean gimmicky, boring, repetitive, horrible dialogue and voice acting (even by mario standards) and just not fun, then yes. i totally agree with you

  • Four hours and already the E-Peens come out? Wow. Some people. Great song BTW! Thumbs up!

  • It's quite a nice song, but not what i would call memorable. ;)

  • I really liked mario sunshine

  • awwwww mario water themes always show to please actually mario themes always show to please actually all nintendo themes always show to please

  • Just back from NYC, all caught up, continuing to love the choices and I have to agree with your opinion of this, least fav Mario(ok, you said 3d I say in general), but still fun. Speaking of Nintendo, any fans of the company, even if it is small and overpriced, you gotta visit Nintendo World. THEY HAVE KIRBY PILLOWS!

And here's something we can all love...they play the best Nintendo system songs all day long. I'm standing there listenign to Gerudo Valley, Megaman, and actually #741 as I left!

  • This music is nice and relaxing!!

  • I thought Super Mario Sunshine was awesome.

  • this song is awesome :D

  • This is one of those long ambient songs that I use when browsing the net.

  • This reminded me that I need to dl the ost, and try finding Paper Mario's ost.

  • Such an underrated game.

  • @duckypwns no its not

  • Yes, this definitely gives off a relaxed Nintendo feel. Mario has the right idea...almost. Why the hell didn't he get Peach to bring some bodyguards? They had to know Bowser would show up.

  • makes me remember NCS's LP of it! We're getting him back, damnit!

  • @TuxedoRay God shut the hell up he's just been suspended.

Also I really like this song. It reminds me of Pikmin.

  • @Nationalaugh Shut up dude nobody asked for your opinion.

  • @Diablosblizz And nobody asked you to spam videos like a retard going "OMG NCS IS DEAD DURHUR WAHHHH" So shut the fuck up.

  • @Nationalaugh And did I spam videos like a retard going "OMG NCS IS DEADDURHUR?" I thought not.

  • @Diablosblizz Pretty much. It's fucking annoying when you faggots bring up them being "dead" on every video you watch. So as I said before shut the fuck up. End of discussion.

  • @Nationalaugh I never fucking brought nothing up, can you fucking read? Go fucking troll elsewhere fag.

  • @TuxedoRay I've started to rewatch it on his blip.tv account @ nintendocapri.blip.tv!

  • this is my favorite Mario ever, and this song is so beautiful (: now i want to play it !

  • Love this game.

  • LOL i just started to replay this game 2 days a go

man im doing this at a rapid pace, already 52 shine sprites!

  • Sunshine is a GREAT game

  • very beautiful

  • JUST thinking about this game last night!

  • water levels are always the most annoying, but they always have the best music. great choice

  • @zak832

    I couldn't agree more.

  • a beautiful harp song in the ocean

  • My second favorite SMS song next to Ricco Harbor.

  • A very fitting and relaxing theme. Sunshine is my least favorite of the 3D Mario games but I still had fun with it.

  • @SupraDarky Yeah, they did favor the waterhose gimmick over actual combat; but there are still times I regret trading the game away.

  • @SupraDarky How Can you think the awesomeness of super mario sunshine is the worst 3d mario game?

  • @superlegoman64 It pales in comparison to other 3d mario games...

  • @RazzDiamond I actually don't like 64 as much as sunshine. I have all 4 3d mario games and I think 64 is not as fun as sunshine. I like 64 though

  • @SupraDarky Agreed. gets too boring after awhile. it's good for the first couple of levels, but after that it kinda treads on thin waters...it kinda reminds me of Spyro 2 and 3. sure it's fun at the beginning and has good music, but it just gets too boring to be interesting enough to finish...
