Never commit yourself to land... The pilot should have decided to make a go around when he was halfway past the runway and his gears havent touched the runway... and I also think he was way above his approach speed.

Bad piloting....on a short and/or constrained strip, pick a go-around point in the first third or less and if not on the runway by then....go-around. 5 minutes of gas cost a lot less than two engines, two props and more, not to mention potential injuries.

From what can be seen, unless there was more than 10-15 knots of tailwind component, personnally I would do the approach well stabilized and low over the ocean rather then dealing with the steep hill on final.

I'm a pilot and all I can say is wow...he was coming in way to fast and you could obviously tell from when he was floating all the way down the runway. I can't believe he didn't go around he was at the end of the runway pretty much when he touched down. Jesus.

Could it be the pilot was trying to avoid the ignorant idiots in the approach area? Both you & the ass-clown in the white mini-SUV should've been held culpable for the pilot having to make the high approach that led to the bad landing. Yes, the pilot should've gone around but for both of you idiots to be in the flight path when it was obvious he needed to make a low approach was nothing less than a lack of intelligence from the both of you & this video proves it!

Too much air speed for a short field landing, notice the floating effect once in ground effect. Throttles should have been at idle way sooner and touch down on the numbers for safe breaking which wasn't done. Luckily he didn't hit the water however I think he landed past the 1000 foot markers on the opposite runway end lol.
