@topeight8 Lol, detection doesn't matter. Their only AA is hydras, spores, and kerrigan. 10 or so Banshees > one or two spore crawlers + 5 hydras at a time, especially if you heal up after each nydus wave.

Banshees with upgrades own Kerrigan on this level. Let her start attacking a bunker and then come in from the side. She gets wiped out fast. Just micro your banshees out of any storms. xD

there was a couple of missions on brutal that was much harder than this. Mass sieges in the middle, marines for kerrigan, and cloaked banshees for nydus and i'm set. after kerrigan flees at around 90 something % i sent the rest of my 15 or so banshees and to protect the artifact while building a crap load of flame turrets to hold off till the final wave.

just heaps of siege tanks, ghosts, flame turrets, bunkers and a few banshee's to clear out the nydus worms and this mission is pretty easy to do.

Blizzard updated this on brutal, the charge goes much more quickly and also the nydus worms and kerrigan spawns are quick too. Imo you should do a separate run for this mission with cellular reactors + ghosts to quick mass and snipe kerri. Regenerative Bio-steel is basically null because you either have the tanks behind defense like in the video, or they get overwhelmed with DPS. same with shees

nothing works NOTHING, also worth mentioning i don't have planetary fortresses on this campaing (done all campaign on brutal, doing all choices i didn't do on hard). I'm on the no-air mission like this one but nothing works, tried stocking up tanks and using infantry for kerrigan. Too much shit coming, EARLY

The thingimagizmos that slow the zerg down are key.

You need those + bunkers + siegetanks + attack upgrades for waves.

Cloaked banshees for nyduses.

Roughly 10-15 ghosts for Kerrigan. Just hold shift and spam snipe on Kerrigan.

The worst part is its only because Kerrigan spawned and then just glitched and sat there until 7 nydus worms spawned and she came with that wave and destroyed my base. First of all, like the name, clever.

Second, I guess it doesn't stun, but snipe is better due to mana-damage output.

200 damage using 150 energy isn't worth it, considering the 3 second charge up as well.

45 instant damage using 25 energy is much better and faster with 10+ ghosts.

Ye, it doesn't stun her. I got beaten up at 88.5 %. But I've made pretty bad choices and it's now very hard for me. I destroyed the nydus network so I'm dealing with air. I don't have mindcontrol, only the slowing thing. I also don't have ghosts, just spectres. My biggest problem is Kerrigan I guess, because she ruins all my defenses before I kill her with those siege tanks/marines. It would be good to have like 10 banshees or more for killing her, but I don't have enough minerals...

what you should do is put occular implanted ghosts into bunkers because with the bunker range upgrade, they have 9 RANGE!!!! which means that they can hold the light units back (such as zerglings) while your tanks obliterate the heavys (such as ultras and roaches). Worked wonders for me

@slemmr It depends on weather you chose to do Shatter the Sky or Belly of the Beast mission, if you chose the Belly* - there will be lots of air units coming at you, which i think is very difficult to deal with, if you did Shatter the Sky - loads of Nydus, which is very easy in comparison.

I had so many siege tanks and battle cruisers it was a little bit rediculous.

The siege tanks did so much damage especially with the psi disrupter.

Just tried three times in a row to get through this mission according to this guide. I don't know how about other ppl, but around 85% I'm gettin' hell lot of worms all around the map and it's just my end... I guess they have changed the missions while patching the game.

I did too but i had a lot of tanks that destroyed the zerg spewing out. then i took out the worms that were not being protected by AA. so i cut down some of the reinforcements. still having one last nova at the end helps when they just overwhelm you.

PFs are great in this missions. You train like 20 extra SCVs, powerbuild CCs at every choke and have like 7 SCVs per PF, Tanks on highground and mass banshee and BC.Put 3 BC on patrol around base after the first overlord wave. Once you get around 80% put 5 shees on patrol as well. These take care of any nydus (i've had nydus in weird places) and any reinforcements that survive. Thors with barrage behind PFs just own as well. BCs + Shees take care of Kerrigan and Nydus. Spectres help too. Lash.

As for what happened to Kerrigan on the final attack, I had it happen to me once as well. I'm not 100% sure this is the reason for yours, but in mine it seemed like those randomly rooting spore crawlers and spine crawlers actually accidentally walled off a choke halfway up the map, and Kerrigan just got confused and never commanded her troops to move out of the way.

When you queue up the banshees you should add a command to return to the base and decloak after taking out the last nydus. That way they dont use up energy unnecessarily and also drift into range of detectors.

Just patrol your base with banshees/ground units/whatever when the overlords come to get rid of their weak weak drops, and then ignore them the rest of the way. They'll spread creep but the next time you use the artifact Nova *poof* no more overlords.

Only half of your ghosts were shooting at Kerrigan, the others were too far away. So she could have been 'killed' even faster.

You should have summoned the mercanaries. Because there is a waiting time between each summon.

if you chose ravens instead of science vessels, you can use point defense drones against kerrigan so the only thing she can use to damage your units is razor storm as long as your point defense drones dont run out of energy. Combine this with mass snipe/mass marine and kerrigan really isnt that difficult to take down.
