I think it depends on the person. We are all wired differently, but of course you'll never know until you try. After playing for 35 years I have my own process but I'm sure just because it works for me doesn't mean it will work for others.
wow what an advice....look a nice tip....try to use press fingers individually one finger pushes down until it can go down anymore like lifting weights. do these with each finger. to touch areas you cant reach extend your arms to each side as if your trying to reach the area you want to play(lets say your playing keyboard and there is a piece very far from you and forced to play it).the posisition in the hadnd must be like carrying a imaginary baseball. there enough said:)
You have a good point. Most musicians and music students are looking for the most effective way of learning their instruments. It is working well for me....
I dont really think that's very effective for classical piano. If the sonata im playing is 20 mins its probably not a good idea for me to go do something else after practicing for just one minute.
yes, she have right. I try 5 -15 min./day and it will grove synaps in brain and soon or later you will be able to play.

Yes, my only problem is what if the piece is really really long, and in 5 minutes you don't feel like you have "fixed" anything?

Why don't you go wash the dishes? and then repeat. Do not touch the piano. Playing is bad for washing dishes. Da????
