I should of written that " I cheated & bought a FAT32 pre-formatted 1tb external HD to back up all my data & transfer the latest update to the internal 1tb internal hard drive. ;)

@kingsley . My original factory ps3 hd was only 40gb :( , but have now fitted 1tb internal hard drive( with your help) software update version 3.73 & it works perfectly. May be you could do a video on FAT 32 formatting a memory stick or external HD as i'm sure it would be a help to people?I cheated & bought a pre-formatted 1tb HD .

@imfrikknbad make sure theres nothing else on your usb or try saving it to your desktop 1st and then drag it into the usb memory stick.

@LtorryCeltics go to the PlayStation website and download the system software to your computer. follow the exact same steps shown in my video. once you've done that save the whole folder to a usb memory stick and the insert it into your ps3.

@6Fail9 no it allows you to update your ps3 system software VIA USB...it's useful to those who don't have internet, they could do this in an internet cafe or at school etc. but who doesn't have internet these days lol.
