I think people are expecting to much to fast. Every year is a building process in college period. Find a way to win games and build the confidence each game. GD deserves credit in this game; he came into this game with ideas, and he stayed aggressive, even late in the game. Some of the things we did really ought to be carried into games in the future. Continue throwing some of Chiles running the Wildcat in there and just hand the ball off to Tre Newton; that should allow McCoy to settle into the game a lot easier than he has been able to these last couple games. And yes, Tre Newton!

The blitzes were throwing Tech's timing off, yet Muschamp completely abandoned that in the second half and only rushed four most of the time. Don't understand why you would quit doing something that obviously worked.
Tech deserves to be ranked. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised to see them end up second in the Big XII. I don't know if OU will be able to beat them in Lubbock. Speaking of OU, I wouldn't be surprised if they go into conference play 2-2 after playing Miami. I'm not sold on OU at all. Tulsa sucks, and they made OU look better than they really are. Miami will really let us know where OU is.
This team has the potential to be the best in the country. Just get McCoy settled down and have the O-line step up, because they were part of the reason McCoy couldn't get into a rhythm, especially in the second quarter. Do those two things, and Texas will be an extremely difficult team to beat.

Watch the play again and you can clearly see Kindle's facemask make contact with the football first and then incidentally the rest of his helmet makes contact with Potts' helmet.

Anything other than an admission that texas, with home field advantage, just barely squeaked a victory against a red raider team without two starters on defense (and three other key players) would be dishonest. I found it compelling that in the most important drive of the game, with a wide open backfield, on third down and all eyes cameras on Potts, ...

..There is a unarguable, undeniable, blatant, dirty, unsportsmanlike helmet to helmet blind sided hit that decides the drive, and to a lesser extend the game—all the while the referees are looking away. Interesting how on the next drive Tech scores, UT gets only a field goal. Oh the possibilities of a just call. Pathetic. I would be ashamed to call myself a longhorn fan after that. Even as a texas tech fan I would have been shouting at the refs, and my player if that had happened to Mccoy..

are you fucking stupid or do you just not understand the rule? you can lead with any part of your helmet EXCEPT the crown, which Kindle DID NOT do. Watch the play again and you can clearly see Kindle's facemask make contact with the football first and then incidentally the rest of his helmet makes contact with Potts' helmet.

And furthermore, announcers were content with showing Mccoy and Shipley playing around on the lake, than discussing the play. It was disgusting, unsportsmanlike and indicative only of bigotry, not of superior talent. I sincerely recommend watching the 10 game from home longhorns fans, its not going to be pretty. Texas will lose in; and with greater spread than this most precious "victory".

The play is also on youtube, if anybody is up for watching. At this point, even though the play pretty much decided that game, its the principle of letting a blind sided hit come helmet to helmet with our QB.. and having the referees be perfectly content to look away.

Man, Colt just looks uncomfortable in the backfield. Some of those throws just left me in awe of how bad they were. Congrats on the win. Colt needs to watch a funny movie, go fishing, SOMETHING to relax a little. And if that o-line doesn't get it together...Gerald McCoy and Jeremy Beal will dominate come October 17th. BOOMER SOONER!

I think you can pretty much nail the coffin on McCoy's heisman hopes. Although I guess Tebow wasn't too strong today either, Colt is just really struggling through really all three of these first games when compared to his expectations.
Honestly the Horns haven't been what I thought they would be so far, but they just need to take care of OSU and OU and the rest of the schedule is a cakewalk, so I still think they can at least get to the NC game.

the777, three games in and you're putting the nail int the coffin? McCoy pretty much had the same game against Tech he did last year, but with a win, and that was at the end of the schedule. there is a whole season to play, stfu. anyone talking about heisman in the third week is truly a joker.
