  • I hide my albums with an app called Foozer Free! Search for it in Market

  • Ok nevermind. This apparently keeps foreclosing so I saved my files and uninstalled it

  • OMG too scary but I found them after doing this. Just go to file manager/dcim/view/show hidden/then apply...;-)

  • thanks a lot buddy......hahahaha

  • This is what I like! Not another app for hiding files (yes, I'm already using Astro). Simple and clever! Thanks!

  • It works! thanks.

  • You have to go to View (from the top menu in Astro), then Directory Options, then check the box that says Show Hidden Files.....did you hear that Mitch?

  • So no-one knows how to recover the folder once its disappeared???? This guy posted the vid & hasn't offered any help on recovery either huh? Wow, now my folder is gone...

  • @babysis624 Same here can't find my folder anymore in file manager or even on astro. can anyone help us?

  • @WilYuarata28, its disapear for a while, but its show up again shortly

  • Previously indexed thumbnails might still show up in other apps, right?

  • how do u get the folder back

  • @FootFinger13 Rename your folder again. For example, in this video, he renamed Random to .Random right? To make it appear again, you go back to your File Manager app, and then you rename it from .Random to Random and it's done :)

  • Thanks. One thing to consider, if the name of the file has more than one word make sure there isn't a space between the words, otherwise it will NOT hide the folder.

  • Tried it on my Nexus S using "Bluetooth File Transfer" app but it did not work.

Can you please help me out ?

  • @niZdabigdick Search for it in your files, I would assume

  • Comment removed

  • Thank you great tip

  • is there a way to hide apps from the menus? for example..a game or something... thank you

  • Thank..this is really a useful tip.

  • Alternatively, you can place a file named ".nomedia" in the folder and it won't show up in the gallery. This works for application support folders which you cannot safely rename, but contain images. For example, the ESPN Scorecenter app writes a bunch of team logo images to /sdcard/com.espn.score_center. Placing ".nomedia" in this folder hides images from it and all subfolders.

  • Or you can use the "Hide My Stuff" app from android market , you don't even need to root your phone.
