Great video.It seems like the current owner is on a mission to erase all traces of John lennon from K,wood.Is he totally ignorant of the history of the house?Probably.But destroying as much cultural heritage as possible is normal in UK.In this house,it could be said with no exaggeration,was concieved songs & ideas that caused a revolution in Western culture of the 20th century.Is that not worth preserving?Obviously not.Nobody gives a fuck in the UK.George's house nearby was long ago demolished

Would've been cool if Julian had been told about the renovations and gotten to walk around a bit.. he might have wanted to see it one more time before they upgraded everything. Unless he had already done that.

If you read "John" by Cynthia lennon, she makes a lot of references to this house and the events which took place there. She discusses how the sun room at the back of the house became a sort of den for John to hang out in, how did a lot of writing and recording on the top floor in the attic room and that Yoko used to stand at the gates , hoping to catch a glimpse of John. She returned here after being on holiday , to discover John and Yoko sitting on the floor oblivious to her.

I read the description of this house in the Hunter Davies biography, but it is far more beautiful in reality, and having visited Johns childhood home in Menlove Avenue last week, I can say its a far cry from there!!

What an absolute treasure! It was so nice "walking" through John's old home. It gave me a feel of what it was kind of like for him. Thank you so much for sharing this intimate tour of John's home. It certainly made my week!

Hmm interesting but quite sad i think to see it gutted to a condition which seems to be reversing things that John did to it.Apparently he spent £20,000 doing it up his way ; pity it couldnt have been left as he had it like a museum !. Makes you think of whats past ; all that great period of Beatlemania etc. that went on there then.You can see why he bought it initially & also why he tired of it once the novelty wore off & super-privacy & sense of isolation set in ; its too big in a way.

Not trespassing if you get permission (which i did). I happened to stop by the house on one of my trips to London and the gate was opened. I asked the owner if he would mind me shooting a video since they were remodeling the whole house and he said okay. It was being at the right place and the right time. It can never happen again.

He lived at this House (Kenwood) with Cynthia and Julian from 1964 to 1968 -just the "Beatlemania" Years. I`m Brazillian, sorry by my poor English. Bye
