Hell of way to crash. First you get thrown around the plane like a rag doll. Then see a guy get his head smashed. Get sweept away by rushing water. Loose the tracer from the life boat, and oh yeah get almost chopped up by the engine. Crazy..

@97HKG The A300 is the plane he boards in Moscow , you see the cabin and the cockpit..

Later another A300 (probably the same real plane as the first one) is shown in the background of the airport.. but we NEVER see Chuck getting into it.. he had to pass security and then board his plane.. all we know is he was heading for the security check and an A300 was in the background..he never heads to it.. later in the air is quite clear it was an MD-11 so both planes were featured, in diferent flights

@andreagraziadio Neither of you are right. Tsk, tsk, tsk... No freighter could make a trip non-stop from Memphis to Malaysia. He was on an A310, (maybe A300) from Memphis to probably Los Angeles or Portland, than an MD-11 or MD-10 to his crash spot in the Pacific.

They tried to make it look like an MD-11, but they missed big on the FCP(Flight Control Panel).

I'm not talking about the six CRT-displays. The FCP on the MD-11 is where the speed, heading, and altitude switches are located. There is no autoflight button in the movie. Various other buttons are missing too. Of course the MD-11 has a glass cockpit. On Boeing aircraft, they call that panel the MCP (Mode Control Panel). The main MFDs( Main Flight Displays) are not the same thing as the FCP or MCP.

@BusterBunker Oh wait, you are talking about on the autopilot? Where you adjust the altitude, heading, autothrottle, etc.? I think I see what you mean. It is just a blank panel where there should be the autopilot computer functions. Okay I get it. That does look weird.
