OLL (Step 3 part b) Solving the Rubik's Cube - Beginners

you know that the algorithm for when you have the two corners facing away from eachother could be a lot faster. make two of the same colors face you and do F R U RI UI RI UI RI UI R U RI UI FI. This was the case that you showed at 3:43. there are other algorithms other than you showed that are much faster. you should look into it. good job though

On the second case you don't need to do the one alg twice, you can just do the mirror. :)

the last case, (the hardest one, if you do the r u r u r uu r, do that and then do the exact same move on the left side, you will solve the corners, and avoid the fish

for the fish when you put the nose in the bttom right corner if you look to the corner to its left and the color of your top sde is facing you on that piece you can just do the mirror of the algarithim you always do.

however if you use fridrich method for F2l yopu doint need to solve the corners, because it solves the first two layers simulataniousely. (Which is why it if A LOT faster if you can manage it)

Thank you. I don't like 'pogoboots' or whatever's video. All he did was take the paper that comes with the cube and put it in video form. I am trying to teach youtubers something new. His method takes me about 150 moves. This method takes me about 75. Personally I think you can execute 75 moves faster than you can 150.

Dude, for the fish when the yellow piece isn't on the right side, turn the cube right, and on the left side, (other side of nose) will bbe a yellow on the left side. Repeat the same algorithm, but do it as a mirror image. For example, it would be left up, top right, left down, top right, left up, top twice, and down. This will solve the yellow side, i call this "The Opposite Fish" Algorithm. Also for the figure 8, i know an algorithm which will solve the yellow, instead of getting the cross.

dude you probably know this, but if you must do the fish algorithm twice(3:04), then you can put the correctly oriented corner on the bottom-RIGHT and do this - L' U' L U' L' U2 L. IGNORE THE COMMENT ABOVE

Yep. I know all 21 PLL's and about 70% of the OLL's.

This was a method that required the least ammount of algs.

in the cases where you have the "FIRST FISH" instead of doing the fish TWICE what you can do is the reverse move that you do when you get the fish. put the head in the TOP RIGHT and do R U2 R' U' R U' R'

Hey man, i was just wondering if u could possibly post a full fridrich method that u said u would post if i got to about a minute solve times. Im around that area, and i was just wondering if u could pst another method, because this one is becoming to easy, and kinda boring lol. I know theres an easier way to align the F2L methods while doing the other white side intuitively, or something like that. lol

I don't mean to be negative, but this video is 6 minutes longer then it really should be. You explained everything really well and obviously people understood you, but there is a much much much simple way to do this.

This was meant to be a video that required you to memorize the least ammount of algorithms as possible. There are other methods that require more, but I wanted to post a non-Roux and have the least ammount of algs. to learn.
