AvP Gold has been re-released on Steam. You can pick it up for 5 bucks. There's no multiplayer yet, but to the best of my knowledge, Rebellion is working on it and they will be patching it in shortly with any luck.

so how did you get it to be coop like this???...did you just make the single player maps selectable in multiplayer or edit them in a level editor for proper respawn point and weapons???

There is a patch available made by a community member of the nVidia forums, run a google for "AvP Gold Nvidia" and look at the topics onthe nvidia forums, member blueshogun i believe his name was.

Man, Praetorians and facehuggers always got my nerves, back when i played this game.

Too bad now it runs like shit on Windows XP, textures and world geometry look busted :-(

if you got GE, have you tried the updated DirectX port or the OpenGL port? (I think it shouldn't be hard to find on Google)

Like I said guys, It's to do with GFX support, ATi and Nvidia drivers have long since abondoned this game, search for AVP Gold Nvidia in google, and read the forums for the patch made by blueshogun, it makes it completely playable on both vista and xp

Actually theirs some patches out that fix graphical issues, if your having sound loop problems try renaming the exe in the main AVP directory, to something like "avpgame" or "avpgold", you can find the patches by simply clicking on the first link after typing in avp gold vista fix.

One way to get it work in xp is to skip that trailer in the start.(REBELLION) It works in my com (NVIDIA) and my big brother(ATI) and u dont nees to download anything.

When u skip that trailer there can be annoing voice, so try to skip when the sound is low. I hope u understand me. Try it.
