  • i didnt know true story about michael crowe i look it up on google, its a sad family

  • the police are munlipitive

  • why in the hell are those cops allowed to interrogate that Richard guy? and why in the hell are they not suspended??

  • love ally sheedy! she was brilliant! thanks for the post!

  • SAN DIEGO — The family of slain 12-year-old Stephanie Crowe will receive $7.25 million in the settlement of a federal civil-rights case filed against the cities of Escondido and Oceanside. The settlement was announced Friday Oct 21, 2011 at a court hearing before U.S. District Judge Jeffrey Miller. The 13-year-old case was set to go to trial on Oct. 31.

In agreeing to the deal, neither Oceanside, Escondido nor the individual detectives named in the suit admitted liability.

  • This is a pure example of how vulnerable we are when it comes to laws and authorities, one little mistake and we can be hanging ourselves , this family didn't eve have time to digest what happened to their daughter and went through more crap!!! Not fair!

  • Wooooh! Man! What year was this?

  • great movie!

anyone know if they got any money from the lawsuit?

  • A.C.A.B.

  • If the ass holes would do their jobs they would not have to trick a kid they need to send all thoses cop to prison so they can get fuck and get their ass kick I hate cop

  • So if it was the kid, jail for life. But since it was an adult 13-14 years in jail. Oh yeah that makes a lot of sense.

  • Absolute dirt bags. They know the boy didn't do it but would send an innocent child to jail to save their own asses.

  • i don't understand how richard got only 13 years away .

for the life of a child ? woah .

  • @LovCrzyChick in the official superior court he got 14

  • @LovCrzyChick yea exactly, even though they were gonna sentence micheal to life

  • He's not in any kind of trouble? Even though the evidence points to him (Richard)?! They attacked and emotionally abused/brainwashed a little boy and this guy they are treating like a victim after he already has a HISTORY of stabbing (at least one person). Do these cops know this guy? WTF?

  • If none of those jurors can understand how someone could "confess" to something they have never done, obviously none of them knows anything about brainwashing. I remember seeing another movie like this years ago where a young boy was made to believe he had murdered someone (can't really remember much about the movie) but on that kid they used "hypnosis" (put him in a suggestive state and THEN he "confessed"). Scary. I wonder how many innocent people have been executed for things they never did?

  • What a heartbreaking story. I am at law school. Maybe I will be an attorney to fight this sick system and bring relief to innocent people like Michael. Or maybe I should be a judge and exonerate these poor people. Whatever I do, I'm going to bring justice to this system, so help me!

  • Did they win the lawsuit or is it STILL pending?

  • @gultruse They successfully sued them for 125,000 dollars. Which by now days is probably over 250,000.

  • @spazzzh20 Really? I remember reading that the judge threw out the case, howerver it was recently reopened.

  • @Matty272

May I ask what was reopened and what happened

  • Thank you for adding this movie - this has to be the most heart-wrentching story I have come across - I pray that this family especially Michael is living a happy life now.

  • Thank you for this film. It's horrible. The police should be convicted of harassing an innocent boy - if the facts shown in this film are true.

  • thank you.......

  • Police Depts are right next to serial killers, murderers, rapists, pedofiles, etc: All psychotic, corrupt and greedy for power.

  • @KenyanPlayboyBunnie1

Yet if someone breaks into your home, you will call 911 and police officers will show up to help you. Obviously you have been in jail and have a problem with authority. Stop breaking the law and you wont have to deal with the police.

  • shayphillip, I do not agree with KenyanPlayboyBunnie1's comments

but I do think that what happened to Michael Crowe was a tragedy and

I would hope that you would agree with me.

  • @mrtelevision

I have mixed feelings on that....not sure why he would admit to killing his sister. Just still hope that they put the right person in jail.

  • @MsIceskater101 becaue he was just a little boy at that time and the cops/detectives brainwashed him, they interrogated him about 10 - 12 hours a day and constantly telling him thtat he killed his sister, they lied about the fact that they've found blood in his room etc. i mean come on who wouldn't go crazy after what they did to him :-(((( Just watch the real interrogation recording of michael crowe and you will see how much he suffered and how much they tortured him, it's really cruel :-(((

  • @MsIceskater101 Just type in "Michael crowe case" on youtube and you will see why he would admit that he killed his sister even though he's innocent.

  • @MsIceskater101

it can happen. when you are made to see the same 2 people the whole day... asking questions repeatedly saying ' you did it', the only way he could have felt better is by telling them what they wanted to hear and at all times he quoted it as a lie

  • @KenyanPlayboyBunnie1 VERY well said!!!!!!!!!!

  • @KenyanPlayboyBunnie1 Right up there with the U.S. government. The Police department are just a legal gang sponsored by the Gov.The different states,Counties, and city police forces are just like different sets of the gang you think crossing a street gang is dangerous it is they'll come at you.The difference is you cross the Police force or even one cop and they bust you up legally.Isn't it scary that the only requirement to be a cop is a GED.They are given ultimate authority over the rest of us

  • Thanks for this upload Rabbit! you always have good movies. Sometimes I get in the mood for a made for TV/Cable movie and nothing else will suffice!I'm happy it ended as it did but still, poor kid spent a yr. behind bars. I'm also all for the right of video taping any confessions. Of course if I ever get in a situation I'll have a lawyer present before I say a word. This proves it can happen to any of us.We (U.S.A.)have the worst Judicial system in the free world.
