  • So cool

  • i have a G4 cube case and would l like to turn it into a fish tank like yours. How can I seal the bottom of the case so i can pour water in ? thanks

  • @tichua You can have a plexiglass supplier in your town cut a sheet of plexiglass to the size of the cube. Ask the supplier what type of glue you have to use to seal it into position.

  • iFish. Now with the PowerMac G4 Aquarium.

Now this is what I call innovate.

  • You turned it into a betta tank

    Cool

  • iAquarium

  • If you would like to purchase one of these amazing tanks go to my Channel SuperMegaDEAL I have created many of these wonderful tanks, Thanks

  • I would like to be that fish...

  • you need to empty half those stones out so he has more room to swim!!

  • Poor Max

    Lonely

    Trapped

    All for human aggrandizement

  • That is so cute

  • haha, that's really creative!

  • bettacare101. com

  • i put my betta in a chip bucket his doing good

  • I'm afraid your friend was wrong. Bettas can indeed breathe air from the surface, but this does NOT give them the ability to live in dirty water. The longer the tank goes without a water change, the more ammonia will build up and harm the fish. If the ammonia stays too high for too long, the fish will suffer and die. Bettas need clean water like any other fish. They are also tropical, and need to be kept at around 78-80 degrees.

  • cool

  • where could I get a case and how much would I have to pay?

  • You can search ebay for Mac G4 Cube, but they are expensive since they on ebay are being sold for "computing," not "being converted to be used as a fish tank." Checking university surplus stores might be a good idea.

  • This would make a great ad for Apple. Especially the ending scene, where the fish is a background to a white apple logo.

  • How much water does this hold? In small containers, it's best to do frequent water changes. For a 1 gallon tank, I change the water every third or forth day depending on the ammonia test results. This is a cool looking tank, to be sure. :)

  • A friend of mine told me that Betta fish can live in a little cloudy water since they swim upward and breath with their mouth touching the surface. Frequent water change wasn't a concern when I made this fish tank.

  • the fishies gonna love it~

  • ...What if the color changed of the Apple Depending on the Temperature of the Tank?? That would be cool..!!

  • What a Apple Tank Where did you get that.

  • And the heater is where?

  • betta fish are not supposed to have heaters. They are cold blooded.

  • WTF?! Do you even know what a fish is?

  • ...wow...

Betta's are tropical fish, ie. water temperatures between 76 and 84 degrees.

  • LOL

  • ye they are wow

  • if you live in a warm climate and you keep your home at temp at about 72 then you don't need a heater, other wise you need to keep this fish warm. Betta's are not cold water fish, they are tropical fish and if not kept warm they become listless, loose their color and their life span in greatly reduced. They will not flare when cold, unless greatly provokes and they aren't nearly as much when you don't take care of them the way you should, aka they need a heater...

  • You, my friend, have created the single greatest thing in the universe.

  • bettacare101.googlepages. com

  • i really have a lot of these tanks and i want to get rid of them just look on Ebay soon or contact me i got carried away with making so many of them i really love these tanks

  • How much does the case cost? less than a tank?

  • It depends on whether and where you can get one, I mean G4 cube case. Try some surplus stores.

  • i have already made one of these and im planing on making another one and selling it would anyone be interested

  • ya that's pretty dope! all it needs is one of those hang on heaters to hang on that? would it work?

  • Ya it would probably work if you put i hang on heaters, i never really thought about it, ill have to try it sometime to see how it goes

  • where do you get thatITS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • lol it's an ifish

  • cool...steve jobs at Apple should get lots made so we can all have them!

  • seems like the betta like mac lol

  • Aha whoa that is really cool!

  • thats so cool!! lol

  • Aw, that is so geek chic.

  • I love the last part with the betta posing at the back of the white Mac logo!

  • i want one ^^

  • very stylish! but maybe you should remove some of the gravel stones. you could give your betta more water by lowering the amount of gravel you dont need..

  • lmfao, thats hilarious

  • whoa!!!! that is so cool!!! hahaha

  • I think the last bit of the video is the nicest, especially combined with the soulfull jazz.

Id love to do this myself.

  • I work at this location and sadly, beta max died. But we replaced him with another aptly named "mad max". Perhaps we'll make another video in the future! We don't have to clean it very often, its too small for a filter. This fish tank is located in a mac lab, so when we replaced the G4's with better comps we put them (at least one, anyway) to good use!

  • the betta loooks lonley

  • umm if it was with another fish theyd fight

to the death till one is dead.

    yeahh

    i dont think its lonely

  • Betta fish, especially males do not get lonely.

  • how do you clean it?

  • personally i think that betta's are the beautiful fish but agressive. still its a fighter with beauty

  • betta max! hahaha

i want a g4 for spare computer to do random things like for printer. but i saw picture of fish tank mod and it made me want that more.

  • Where'd you put the computer? LOL Obviously it's not in there anymore so I'm just curious.

  • ur betta kinda looks like a girl but i might be wrong...

  • computers and water do not mix

  • DId you buy the g4 when new or purchase it later on?

  • I still have the casing to my G4 Cube, and I want to do this. What did you use for the bottom?

  • Gorgeous tank! Great Idea. He looks happy. :)

  • Ohhh, your betta is sooo beautiful!

  • BEAUTYFULL VIDEO AND QUALITY,
