Yeah, I have had my cochlear on my right ear now, and it is amazing. Seriously, go get it. Its the best thing ever really. Obviously the sound doesnt come to you right away but after a day or two, you can start making sense of some things. TypeBack x
I have a cochlear implant and I am 15, it is the best desicion my parents have ever made. My life is as normal any other persons. I rely on speech and listening as I dropped most of my sign language, I currently attend mainstream secondary school in Year10 and I am loving it. I had my cochlear implant when I was 2 and I am just about to undergo surgery to have a second implant in my other ear. Anybody who has a child who is deaf and is considering an implant. Do It. It's the best thing ever.
you r same as me i had my cochlear implant when i was 2 . im so glad that my parents made this decision. i now 13 i was offered another one on my right ear and im thinking about it , im think it a right desicion it would make my life so much easier.
We gave the gift of hearing to my little girl, and it was the best descision we ever made in her life. She can hear us laughing, and talking with her, she can hear water, and birds singing, she can hear music and enjoy it, and her social life ...beyond deaf culture, is more fulfilling. It's wonderful technology, and I condone cochlear implants, and praise people who make the decision to do so for their child.
A cic turned up to 130db would have done the same job ...these parasites attacking innocent children for profit belong in jail. Attack their children and grandchildren in the ears with a drill and see how quickly they run to the police...

@FranEleanor I am 15 too and got mine when i was 2 haha. im not getting a second one though because its very costly for my parents
