@RazrHack Good Vibrations was initially released as a standalone single in 1966. Brian Wilson worked on this song for six months in the studio while the BB were on tour. It later was included, quite rather desparetly on the ill fated "Smiley Smile" LP, which was a "bunt instead of a grand slam" as Carl Wilson later indicated. Capitol threw "Good Vibrations" on the LP with the hopes of a few more sales, but alas it was not to be. This 68 performance on Ed Sullivan is a great one though.

Bruce Johnston is on the keyboards here. In fact Johnston had been filling in for Brian onstage as early as 1965 after Brian suffered a nervous breakdown on a plane informing the rest of the group afterward that he never wanted to go back onstage again and just wanted to "go home"
