end the goddam federal reserve FRAUD. it's very easy to understand. it's so obvious that it makes TheRealNews appear retarded. the Fed is screwing us and is powerful enough to keep people from realizing this obvious fact.

Smaller class sizes will also correlate with higher incomes and other extraneous variables that may actually have caused the success. It's not possible to attribute causation to the class size unless they conduct a true experiment with random assignment.
OMG... creating programs in high schools to give students the oppurtunity to actually meet with and experience real world jobs and careers. Preparing students for real world application of knowledge and not test scores?! People are actually THINKING?! This can't be right.
Okay, I'm definitely gonna see what I can do to help support RealNews, this message is not heard in main-stream media.
Wait. I thought this government said that the best way to have a recovering economy was to give huge sums of money to the banksters. They told us to look for the green shoots.
They told us that we need to spend huge sums of money on war. They told us it is good for us.
I get it. The message has changed now. We need to bail out the schools. We’ll do that because by any measure they have been a success – right? Of course they need my tax money. Just like the banksters and the war.
@btigtime2 Exactly, that way without an education the public will be totally illiterate and they won't be able to read about how bad "WE" the bankers a fucking them. Great idea, but it's a shame for you that you are not one of us. I love the commie comment that was completely nonfactual, we conditioned you well with Fox News. @fywacia Retard, Do you believe there is any correlation of spending and Government programs and education. Well there is enough data and history to show there is not... Parenting is what determines a children educational growth ONLY. But our Government promotes Divorce and illegitimacy via its programs.
Fox news? I get all of my news through Mtv and BET.
I agree with larkinam. But our system is crap. We need to reduce government big time in order to save money at the current rate of taxes. No more war, no more USDA, FDA, Homeland Security. We need only keep law enforcement, judicial and essential strategical defense departments. And they should do their jobs. We should also enforce fines, or bailable jail time on many crimes by criminals that do not pose a danger to society. Monies go to the state budget. And legalize and tax the drug trade.
hmm how can we make compromise with current criminals on top and their 19th century paradigm? I know! Lets use their terminology and pretend that such compromise exists WITHIN current system. How depressing is to see this infinite line of "intellectuals".....
The US is facing the same problem that Russia is facing: most of it's infrastructure is 50 years old or more, is not in good shape, and any update would cost a huge amount of money. But it would be far better to deal with this problem now, it can only get worse otherwise.
@blackiron60 When you rebuild a bridge you create temporary work for a year by paying the workers out of borrowed money after its done you have debt to go with your shiny bridge but workers without jobs don't have money for cars or gas to pay tolls. The way its supposed to be is you create a pro-business, pro-entrepreneurial and pro-savings/investment environment. Then the businesses create value and jobs which support sustainable jobs, neighborhoods and tax base that will pay for the bridge.
@rayallin Developing and maintaining infrastructure is the complete opposite of temporary work. I agree that there should be more investment and programs to help small business owners, but small businesses will fail if there isn't adequately maintained infrasture. Since small businesses create most of the new jobs, without infrastructure to support businesses new jobs won't be created. And, with increasing unemployment, tax revenue that pays for infrastructure will decrease.
@MarmaladeINFP Businesses and capitalism and rich people who invest in businesses via stock or start businesses with profits from their existing businesses are what create jobs , improved quality of life, new products support neighborhoods and schools. At this point we don't need more roads or bridges we need sustainable jobs. You can build a new factory with borrowed money but without businesses to risk capitol and innovation for the REWARD of profit that factory will stay empty.
@rayallin I wasn't arguing that more roads and bridges need to be built, but I do think it's a good idea to maintain those already built. The major investment into America's infrastructure was more than a century ago. Our economy grew because of this infrastructure. Without govt funding, land grants and eminent domain, the railroads and interstate highway never would have been built. The Industrial Age in the US would've been stunted if not for the govt's involvement in creating the railroads.
@rayallin Most new jobs are created by small businesses. Most small business owners wouldn't be considered rich. Tax cuts for the rich would only help the top 3% of small business owners. The problem is wealth disparity is increasing. The average American (including middle class) hasn't seen an increase in living wage in decades & unemployment rates are high. How can a free market exist when the wealth is concentrated in an elite? How can new US jobs be created when factories are built overseas?
@rayallin That factory which you refer to will be full of laborers who have no unions, very few benefits, and a very low wage while also living in a foreign country. I think we should offer low tax rates for companies who employ Americans. I've got no problem lowering capital gains to 0% if they're employing only Americans, but if they're in the practice of sending jobs to Malaysia then I won't shed a tear for seeing their capital gains as high as 75%.
@ToTheConquered My point was we have enough factories that are all empty. Capitol + Innovation + Management + Labor + Marketing = possibility (not guarantee) of some level of success. The current business environment is anit-business which is why firms are not hiring or growing. When you overtax (steal) wealth from people you remove the capitol they would otherwise invest in their own or other businesses and de-incentivise innovation and growth. The more you tax the less jobs there will be.
@rayallin Overtaxed? Tax rates were higher in the past. The rich were being taxed at a high rate earlier last century and the economy was doing great. Of course, there are many contributing factors to why the economy was doing so well, but proves that high taxation doesn't inevitably mean a lack of investment and innovation. An opposite example can be seen with the tax cuts for the rich. The rich pay less taxes than they have in a long while and yet the economy collapsed.
@rayallin Wealth disparity is higher in the US right now than at any other time, higher than all other Industrialized Western countries. When wealth becomes concentrated in the hands of a few, they have excess wealth. You argue that this will lead them to invest, but that is disproven by recent events. What they did was gamble that excess wealth in risky bets and took our economy down. Plus, there is a correlation between high wealth disparity and social problems (which also effect the rich).
@MarmaladeINFP I never got a job from a poor person. I'm happy to see success...Its the guy with the big house that hires the carpenters, takes his nice cars for maintenance, invests in stocks and pay 90% of taxes. Bill Gates created more jobs, taxes and gives more to charity than anyone. If there are no rewards there will be in incentive to create or risk. Instead of focusing on hating the wealthy focus on why so many people are not focusing on self improvement to better their skill set.
@rayallin The difference between you & I is that I am basing my opinions on the facts. It's a fact most new jobs are created by small business owners. Yes, many small business owners aren't poor, but most aren't of the wealthy upper class. If they are a part of the rich, then why do 97% of small business owners get no tax cuts when the rich are getting tax cuts? Most small businesses struggle & don't survive their first few yrs of operation. Unlike big businesses, no one bails them out.
@MarmaladeINFP I agree. I'm pro free markets and pro capitalism and pro individualism. I love small businesses they employ 70% of the population and if they come up with something great can morph into big business. What I want is fair playing field where we all play by the same rules. If we got rid of lobbies and special interests and tax breaks and had a true free markets there would be more potential for opportunity and equality. There should be no bailouts, tax breaks or tariffs.
@rayallin Okay. I understand where you're coming from. We don't seem to be in as much disagreement as I thought. I definitely agree about the fair playing field, but I honestly can't say what would actually create a fair playing field in the real world. Both big govt and big business can cause problems for small business owners, for the working class, and for local economies. I'm not against big anything per se. I'm fine with big businesses but not if they undermine competition & innovation.
@rayallin "The more you tax the less jobs there will be."
Couldn't agree more. I mean, just look at America from 1932 until 1986 (when the top income brackets in the U.S. were never below 50%). American factories were empty, American jobs were shipped over seas, middle-class Americans couldn't afford homes, food, or basic necessities, and we were caught in a 54-year-long recession. The only thing that saved us from that hell were the glorious tax cuts of '87 and '88.
@ToTheConquered So true...but it seems no one wants to study their history.
Its a fundamental tenant of economics when you tax something you get less of it when you subsidize it you get more of it. Taxation is nothing short of theft from those who are productive of which the majority of taxes that are collected are wasted on inefficient Government programs, the Military Industrial Complex or to fund illegal foreign wars. Government is the problem, it creates nothing but mismanagement.
@rayallin Can you explain why America didn't go down the toilet in the mid 1900's since the top income tax bracket was taxed anywhere from 50%-94% at all times?
I would also like to know a little more on the subject of when, he talks about creation of jobs by public spending. I think that he’s technically correct when he says that increased public spending creates wealth in any given community. It seems to me that he’s still ignoring the factor that the more taxes the more it takes away from other businesses and job opportunities in return hurting the general population as a whole. Maybe I don't understand?
@sigworth223 It sounds like you're talking about 'crowding out', and in very low interest rate environments with a lot of slack in the economy (e.g. low growth, high unemployment) relatively little private investment is pushed out.
@sigworth223 Most jobs are created by small businesses. However, tax cuts for the rich, bailouts, and govt contracts mostly only help big businesses. Helping the top wealthiest percentage doesn't trickle down. When the rich have excess money, they don't invest. Instead, they gamble it which is what happened with all the risky financial gambling that helped bring down our economy. If you want increased economic growth, invest in education, infrastructure and small businesses.
@MarmaladeINFP If the rich gambled away their fortunes then we wouldn't have things like Windows, the I Pod, Nike products, and Hollywood blockbusters. The rich do invest back into their companies to stimulate the economy. One of the ways they invest back into their companies is through tax cuts. I do agree with you about small businesses. They diversify an economy and create economic growth.
@sigworth223 They didn't gamble all their money, but they gambled a lot of it. You didn't respond to my pointing out the fact that most new jobs are created by small businesses and that small businesses are hurt by tax cuts for the rich. It's fine to give tax cuts when done properly, but the rich shouldn't be the first group to get tax cuts. If you want to jumpstart the economy, give tax cuts to the middle class and to small business owners. After that, maybe consider tax cuts for the rich.
@sigworth223 It's true that policies of recent decades have helped the rich, but they haven't helped the average person as much. Living wages of the average person hasn't risen. Small businesses are struggling. Schools are struggling. The infrastructure is crumbling. But the rich who sent US jobs overseas are getting richer and richer. This has led to the highest wealth disparity in US history which correlates with an increase in social problems (which also effects the rich).
Yes the Bush tax cuts in terms of money the federal government has at their disposal, did create a large deficit. He forgot to mention Medicare as a factor in the deficit. In terms of jobs and wealth creation in the private sector it stimulated the economy.
Ugh, this is more broken window fallacy. They look at what is created and not what would have been created in it's absence.
The understanding of stimulus for the general populace is now on par with intelligent design. In fact the idea that something intelligent MUST guide the economy is wholly in line with it.
You have it backwards. Its the businesses and the wealthy who create businesses that create jobs that create tax base that provide for the local taxes that pay for teachers and firemen and police. I never got a job from a poor person and the rich are currently paying 90% of all taxes and close to 50% of their wages for federal and state taxes. Just look at Michigan, when the corporations pulled out the towns and the jobs and the schools died. You want to kill the goose thats feeding you.
@rayallin Actually, small businesses create most of the jobs, but the tax cuts for the rich help big businesses. As for the rich paying more taxes, that is b/c the top few percentage own most of the wealth, but it didn't used to be that way. The wealth disparity is higher now than it's ever been. The difference b/t the income of the rich and poor is greater than it's ever been before. Yes, the rich pay more taxes when the middle & working class are struggling b/c of policies that help the rich.
it's hard not to be skeptical about the methodology with these sorts of initiatives that are difficult to accurately quantify. that's not to say they're not worth doing, but it's always easier to convince people when you're working with figures that will directly affect cash flow in the short term.
Best love police video yet watch?v=42xya6yyJbQ the counter has been frozen at 301 for the last hour. if dont want to count us then lets make them read us. post a comment as well as adding to the count.
Bush policy = Obama policy = tax breaks for rich, bail out for corrupted big banks = taxing middle class into poor class = making slaves out of all except a few rich F$()*#. Obama serves the interest of the few; an oligarchy.
The payoff from upgrading infrastructure to meet the needs of energy independence and sustainability is far greater than all non-engineering education.
This country hires prison inmates to make stuff at factories, and this helps to reduce the trade deficit. Many of them are not even well educated. Why the hell is that?!
YOU NEED ENERGY TO MAKE THINGS. Without energy sources besides food, a person's salary is reduced to around $200.
The REAL solution = energy independence AND sustainability
We must take back what they have stolen there is no debt the banks create debt fro nothing wake up and help them by maxing out your credit and running then they thrive from you creating debt which is false and money is worthless it is a tool to enslave the people slavery never died the 13th amendment is breached daily because you live in servatude.
@edtheball69 Actually, they generate debt based on what they believe to be your ability to pay it off, or really, the ability they are able to overcharge you.
I havent paid taxes or fines or contributed much to the government but if only more people would do the same and bring them down and end these needless wars its genocide and the more you give them the more power they believe they have we need the soldiers and police to wake up and stop this madness.
@edtheball69 Actually, it is the otehr way around.
The less money the government has, the more they will cut back on the SANE government programs, like road building,and all that stuff, while keeping up the spending on the military.
then we need to stop all funding and abolish government and revolt against them if they dont serve the people they dont deserve to be in power, we must unite and put an end to the corporate genocide of muslims all over the world just to keep the dollar afloat with the price of oil there is enough oil to last a million years they are keeping it artificialy high saying its peaked thats rubbish it hasnt they lie lie lie all the time never believe anything on the news
@edtheball69 There is not enough oil to last a million years. Texas is almost dry, many of the Arab nations are running out, we have been discovering fewer and fewer new oil deposits since 1971. And the oil we DO have access to is no longer light sweet crude, it is dirty, meaning it is harder to refine, and it is hard to get to, which is forcing the prices up, and causing things like the BP oil spill.
My brother inlaw is an executive for a drilling comp and there is plenty the reason Iraq was invaded was because saddam threatend to flood the market with low cost oil thats why america jumped on him the oil fiels are plentiful and rich that is the finding of most companies dont believe mainstram media the price will always be kept artificial friend that is the illusion they create and the wars are to secure more fields and resourses abroad thats the truth. peace bro
@edtheball69 Remember the oil for food program? The amount of oil Saddam could sell was very limited.
Yes, Saddam COULD have flooded the markets with cheap oil, but theoretically, but he was limited to the amount he could sell because of the sanctions.Only a certain amount could feasibly get smuggled out.
The war WAS about oil, (and military contracts for Halliburton) but Iraq does not have unlimited supplies. And if they pump at maximum speed, then it will run dry quicker.
Yes why wasnt it sand for food program or why on a humanitarian scheme would there be any imbargo on food clearly as you know it was all about oil and the war was illegal as will be iran war we are stupid to believe the media and government who know the sheep will not do a thing maybe only a few of us the banks now have us sedated with artificial debt and fear of poverty so the global elite are laughing at the slaves panicing over paper notes that are god to most wake up

lets stop listening to the typical morons. It sounds elitist, but damn good leadership is having the confidence in that the decisions you make will be great fo rthe whole of society. We don't have that current leadership. This whole "lets hear both sides" is crap. trust me I was repairing my dad's PC. heard their suggestions then did none of them
once you understand post-industrial/zerogrowth model, youll discover that this invest in infrasructure will never happen. and there is no left/right democrat/republican paradigm, there is only a two parties striving for the same agenda. utter dominance over the populus
what you have to understand is most developed countries didn't completely drop their manufacturing industries like the US did. I think its good to take note of that, and to be honest yes infrstructure investment is needed now more than ever. The interstate system is crumbling(it was built great lasted 60 yeras), and yes you need to invest in educating your populus. They want control, but the US will turn third world if leadership continues to be irresponsible and poor.
also a post-industrial economy doesn't equate into zero growth. With that being said you still need infrastructure. YOu need a good water infrastructure unless you want to start boiling your sewage water before you can drink it.
The motives of all politicians are different. Some are trying to help us, some are after power for the sake of power, some want to bilk the populace for all they are worth, and some want to do some of each.

It's fine to give tax cuts when done properly, but the rich shouldn't be the first group to get tax cuts. If you want to jumpstart the economy, give tax cuts to the middle class and to small business owners. After that, maybe consider tax cuts for the rich.
MarmaladeINFP 1 year ago
@sigworth223 It's true that policies of recent decades have helped the rich, but they haven't helped the average person as much. Living wages of the average person hasn't risen. Small businesses are struggling. Schools are struggling. The infrastructure is crumbling. But the rich who sent US jobs overseas are getting richer and richer. This has led to the highest wealth disparity in US history which correlates with an increase in social problems (which also effects the rich).
MarmaladeINFP 1 year ago
Yes the Bush tax cuts in terms of money the federal government has at their disposal, did create a large deficit. He forgot to mention Medicare as a factor in the deficit. In terms of jobs and wealth creation in the private sector it stimulated the economy.
sigworth223 1 year ago

@rayallin right on man
sigworth223 1 year ago

We must take back what they have stolen there is no debt the banks create debt fro nothing wake up and help them by maxing out your credit and running then they thrive from you creating debt which is false and money is worthless it is a tool to enslave the people slavery never died the 13th amendment is breached daily because you live in servatude.
edtheball69 1 year ago
@edtheball69 Actually, they generate debt based on what they believe to be your ability to pay it off, or really, the ability they are able to overcharge you.

I havent paid taxes or fines or contributed much to the government but if only more people would do the same and bring them down and end these needless wars its genocide and the more you give them the more power they believe they have we need the soldiers and police to wake up and stop this madness.
edtheball69 1 year ago
@edtheball69 Actually, it is the otehr way around.
The less money the government has, the more they will cut back on the SANE government programs, like road building,and all that stuff, while keeping up the spending on the military.

@dangerouslytalented
then we need to stop all funding and abolish government and revolt against them if they dont serve the people they dont deserve to be in power, we must unite and put an end to the corporate genocide of muslims all over the world just to keep the dollar afloat with the price of oil there is enough oil to last a million years they are keeping it artificialy high saying its peaked thats rubbish it hasnt they lie lie lie all the time never believe anything on the news
edtheball69 1 year ago
@edtheball69 There is not enough oil to last a million years. Texas is almost dry, many of the Arab nations are running out, we have been discovering fewer and fewer new oil deposits since 1971. And the oil we DO have access to is no longer light sweet crude, it is dirty, meaning it is harder to refine, and it is hard to get to, which is forcing the prices up, and causing things like the BP oil spill.

My brother inlaw is an executive for a drilling comp and there is plenty the reason Iraq was invaded was because saddam threatend to flood the market with low cost oil thats why america jumped on him the oil fiels are plentiful and rich that is the finding of most companies dont believe mainstram media the price will always be kept artificial friend that is the illusion they create and the wars are to secure more fields and resourses abroad thats the truth. peace bro
edtheball69 1 year ago
@edtheball69 Remember the oil for food program? The amount of oil Saddam could sell was very limited.
Yes, Saddam COULD have flooded the markets with cheap oil, but theoretically, but he was limited to the amount he could sell because of the sanctions.Only a certain amount could feasibly get smuggled out.
The war WAS about oil, (and military contracts for Halliburton) but Iraq does not have unlimited supplies. And if they pump at maximum speed, then it will run dry quicker.
dangerouslytalented 1 year ago
@dangerouslytalented

"investing in education? nooo these kids don't wanna learn."-typical moron
"roads we don't need no fancy paved raods just do gravel."-typical moron.
lets stop listening to the typical morons.

HelpingHumanity 1 year ago
@HelpingHumanity
what you have to understand is most developed countries didn't completely drop their manufacturing industries like the US did. I think its good to take note of that, and to be honest yes infrstructure investment is needed now more than ever. The interstate system is crumbling(it was built great lasted 60 yeras), and yes you need to invest in educating your populus. They want control, but the US will turn third world if leadership continues to be irresponsible and poor.
lordblazer 1 year ago
@HelpingHumanity
also a post-industrial economy doesn't equate into zero growth. With that being said you still need infrastructure. YOu need a good water infrastructure unless you want to start boiling your sewage water before you can drink it.
lordblazer 1 year ago
@HelpingHumanity That is extremely oversimplistic.
The motives of all politicians are different. Some are trying to help us, some are after power for the sake of power, some want to bilk the populace for all they are worth, and some want to do some of each.
